Candy and catsup stains are very similar to each other for the carpet maintenance. First, get the excess candy or catsup up by blotting with a paper towel or scraping with a butter knife. For catsup stains only, go a step further to neutralize the spot with an ammonia-water mixture as described for blood stains.

The funny thing is even on the forums for the local newspaper, where you'd assume most of the people would be from here, they don't get these kind of Spambots advertising local companies. I mean what's the point of spamming a forum like this where 1-2 posters are actually in the company's service area and they're more likely to be annoyed by the spam so it's not like this is going to result in new business.

if I were to advertise a cleaning company, I would at least add something like:
"or you could go to xxx cleaning, in xxx boulevard San Diego, where these and other stains are quickly removed ... bring in your carpet in the morning and get it back in the noon, clean as if it were new"

Use a spounge with carpet cleaner to get as much of it up as possible, pat dry with a paper towel to try to get up anything that remains, and if there is still anything left use a steam cleaner on it.
