Web browser for my Android tablet
How come every single browser for Honeycomb sucks donkey balls?
I've tried like top ten of them, and they all suck. On my phone I have xScope 5 which is 95% awesome, but can't open more than 6 tabs. This is its ONLY problem. And it doesn't work properly on Honeycomb.
Isn't there a browser that has all of these features?
Volume rocker scroll
Long press opens links in a background tab without any questions
Clicking on the active tab's, er, tab closes it.
When you scroll down, the URL bar is hidden, but reappears as soon as you scroll the page up.
How come no single browser can do this? The bloody Dolphin can't even reliably open a link in a new tab and crashes if the URL is too long. And I cannot get the editor to move the caret to the correct place in portrait mode, but this might be also Android's or vBulletin's fault.

Chrome is ICS only, isn't it?

Probably.![]()

What don't you like about it?
It's actually faster and uses less memory than the stock Android browse and Chrome for Android.
I think it has a pretty slick interface, too.

Volume rocker scroll - no.
Long press opens links in a background tab without any questions - no.
Clicking on the active tab's, er, tab closes it - in portrait mode the tabs are hidden.
When you scroll down, the URL bar is hidden, but reappears as soon as you scroll the page up - I uninstalled it by this point.

I think your usecases are, frankly, bizarre. No wonder no browser does what you want.

It's been a year and the browsers still suck. I no longer need volume rocker scroll and I can cope with popup menu on long press, but they suck. I had to install Chrome beta to make it scroll more than one page per flick. And it still silently unloads background tabs, destroying my forum posts when I am checking facts on Wikipedia.

Smartphones are slow and terrible. If you want speed and control over the experience, use a desktop.
