Yea, I almost took him 3rd overall, and then was shocked how far he fell. I think for as long as I've been playing fantasy baseball with you guys Pujols and Hanley had 1 and 2 locked down every year. Amazing to see neither of them picked in the first round.

I've made some minor adjustments in our settings
I had to lock the league since yahoo wouldn't let me reset it to 8 people and I dropped the min IP from 18 to 16. The playoff is a standard 4x4 (2 week) with the final week being 10 days like last year.
Good. That makes me feel better about taking Fielder so early.

I never really go in with much of a strategy. I guess I generally go for balance. So far though I've been kind of pressed for time when drafting so haven't really crunched the numbers like usual. So I've been going from the gut a bit more. And... drafting lots of Tigers and Nats...

Since you've been real good about not griping this year (appreciated) I'll be nice to you and give you the one stat you care about the most: average draft time!
Here is the list of how many minutes it takes for each person to draft. Since JD went first I didn't count him for the first round. Now, these numbers require several caveats. Obviously it is much easier for illram and JD who have to pick half as much as the rest of us. Also, I wasn't 100% sure how to handle people leaving lists. If the list was left with someone nearby in the draft order who would post their own picks as well as the picks of those with a list I credited the time to the person posting and gave 0 minutes to the person who left the list. When someone left a list with someone who wasn't picking for himself I put the whole time elapsed on the list giver instead of giving them zero. Obviously time passed there and that needs to be ackonoledged. And heck, if the list giver was smart they would have given it to someone who also had a pick which would have probably sped things forward. In any event, I indicated who left a list for whom, so you can reach your own conclusions. Finally, a raw minute count isn't entirely fair since we do all need to sleep. We shouldn't judge someone for taking 9 hours to pick when the last pick was at midnight.
But, with all those caveats out of the way, here is the list:
