Sounds like it doesn't have a soul. Perform a human sacrifice and that should fix the problem.

I'm building a new computer, and I think I ****ed up. It's all hooked up inside as near as I can tell, but when I try to boot up, it never gets to the BIOS. Here's what I know:
The fans work.
USB devices plugged into the motherboard are getting power. The mouse light is on, and so is my num lock indicator on the keyboard.
The computer doesn't make any beeping noises. The mobo book says that it should make several beeps if the memory is wacky or if there's a general hardware problem. The only sounds I hear sound like the fans or possibly the HDD.
Finally, there's no on board graphics, so it could be that the graphics card is failing. But then I'd still expect to hear beeps while the computer boots up.
Is it likely that I broke something in this installation? Should I go through and just try taking it apart and putting it back together or is this irreparable?
I knew I shouldn't have majored in worthless ass History.![]()
Do not take anything I say seriously. It's just the Internet. It's not real life.

Is there a power connector on the video card? Check to make sure it is attached. Also if there is more than one monitor port on the video card try using the other port.
My guess is the computer is probably fine. Check the monitor connections as well, it's easy to forget something silly like plugging in monitor cables.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

What model video card do you have Felch?

Yes, there's a 6 pin PCI-E power connector. I'm ****ing retarded.
It's a GTS 450. It's not top of the line, but I'll be able to do the whole SLI trick if I need more power. Got a kW power supply.![]()

It's pretty easy to overlook, don't worry about it![]()

My ATI cards came with massive stickers about them. Even if you turned it on without them in, it showed a BIOS screen telling you to plug it in. And beeped.

Well, HC, you saved many lives. I was all getting ready to load my guns and just start killing everybody, but you saved the day.![]()

Think of the carnage we missed!
My ATI video card also came with all sorts of labels and notices everywhere to plug it in. It seems like it's a pretty common support call![]()
