I don't know . . . there used to be a downloads section. Not sure where that got reshuffled to when the site changed.

I am having a difficult time finding stuff on the new site. I am looking for Celestial Dawn's Mod and the Apolyton Pack for my CTP1. Reinstalling on new computer. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot.

I don't know . . . there used to be a downloads section. Not sure where that got reshuffled to when the site changed.

Almost all links are dead. Can anyone fix this? I need: Awesome Aips 1.0 mod,Medieval Mod v4.0,Cow Mod,Celestial Dawn's Mod v4.22.
Thank you in advance.

Well the files refer for instance to:
http://apolyton.net/ctp/files/patch/...pdate_Full.pkg
That are absolute paths, if you change the the link above to:
http://settler4.apolyton.net/ctp/files/patch/beos/CivCTP_123_Update_Full.pkg
it will work.
For the hack patch I changed it in the database to use a relative path, but to fix all the other links I must say that it are just to many.

I was hoping to play on some of the old maps people had developed, but those links are down as well. Does anyone have copies of these maps uploaded externally perhaps? If not, does anyone know if Apolyton is planning on fixing dead links from the site transfer?
-Nevermind, I figured out what Martin was saying to do to get the links to work. Thank you.

I also try these links before posting my thread. I do not suceed to download. I tried with Firefox and Opera both.

Hello, my first post here. Nice to meet you all.
I'm also interested in where those mods are located. A small development team I am a part of wants to release a huge CTP mod (it is actually complete already, but there will be further adjustments) and I'd like to know whether Apolyton provides space for this kind of stuff. Or do we need to just put it on rapidshare and post a link in this forum?

For now our Download section is down, however I have all the files at least, the Call to Power files, I could also upload them to Apolyton, and also add a news item about it.

Ah I see. The mod I mentioned aside, it would be wonderful to have the downloads section back, there was much good stuff in it.
As for our mod, I guess we'll put it on some commercial file hosting website for now and then ask you to put it on the Apolyton system when you're ready. Unless you think you could do it straight away?
Regards!

This sounds interesting.

Happy to see you're interested. Unfortunately, before I can post to our mod I must write 20 posts in this forum. Which I'm trying to do although it's very very late here. :P
EDIT: I'm done, thread is open.![]()

You're the coolest person ever.
BTW there is a newer version coming - nothing big for now, just some Library fixes. I will notify you when it's ready and ask you to either replace the file or add it as a patch, OK?

french player, so sorry for the english
Any news of all the dowload stuff of the old site ? (and not only CTP but the others games too)
I am a little afraid that Apolyton made as the others and does focus more than on new games by forgetting little by little the older games.
And yes I don't like the new Civ generation (4 and 5)
I hope that I have wrong, because Apolyton remained one of the rare sites which I could still found things for the ancient games as Civ II, Alpha Centauri and the CTP for example.

When, will come the new version? Anyway, since our download section is back, you can now add it to the download section. And as our download section has an enhanced upload feature, you can also upload it yourself. I recommend to do it sooner than later, because I want to free the space at the ctp2.apolyton subdomain.

Many thanks, I must have been blind...
EDIT: I added it, but it doesn't show up. Why?

I can't find the entry either, and I should see the stuff that is hidden or in the moderation queue. The moderation queue should be empty, since new entries aren't moderated and go online once they have been submitted.
How long by the way did you wait? Since it is a file of a few megabytes it takes some time to upload it. And did you a confirmation that the file was added to the database.

Yeah, I have waited long enough. I got a message that said the thread was not created, which is as it should be (since we have one already).
I'll try again then, if it doesn't work I'll come back to you crying.
EDIT: failed again. All I got was a message:
And the "Return" link.Forum does not exist 5![]()

That's ugly, I set the autocreate forum of the mods category to the CTP1 forum. Try again and if it does not work, I disable the autocreate thread function altogether. That's ugly, but I have other things to do than assigning manually a forum to all those 400 categories or so.

It's around 55 MB.Upload error - file is larger than maximum size allowed

I think I'll wait a bit until it's fixed. Maybe we'll manage to finish the update by then.![]()

Looks like this piece of software distinguishes between, normal users and users with admin privileges. So I had to raise the size limit for attachments. So now you can upload up to 250 MB in the rar format. With rar you can even compress the files further then with zip. For raring the files you can use WinRar, should be available as shareware version.
