  • License?

just curious if any sort of license came with the SDK? I've looked and all I can find on 2k's site is " ... allowing gamers to completely rewrite or modify their own Civilization world to their heart's content. "

So if I write some code for the SDK, can they lift it and put it into their updates? (not that they would, but its better to know the rules than make assumptions).

If I make changes, do I 'own' the changes? Meaning I have the rights/abilities to distribute the code with my alterations (on places like Apolyton).

How is the code governed? Copy Right? Copy Left? GNU? Free for all? Banana?

    Just curious.

From experience, if they want your code, they'll ask for it and remove your copyrights without asking you.
You can distribute it on 'poly or wherever you like.
I think the terms are covered in the game's license agreement. You should look there for specifics.
