As much as i hate them I wish to avoid necessary double moves. I think 18h would do it.

I was always impressed to see people of deity's quite advanced age ( ) this active in online gaming, but you definitely take the cake. I'm impressed.

I have always played games, literally anything, and started playing war games with table top 1 inch figure games in the forties. They were wonderful but you had to be a member of a club and they took so long. From there to old strategy boardgames.

MP gaming on a PC is no great change from that and is something that I can do within my own home. I may be old but computers are not frightening and this allows me to meet and talk, in a manner of speaking, with people of all ages, nationalities, cultures and a thousand different interests. I seldom get out now but I love people and this allows me to do what I cannot now physically. It is fun and I adore fun!

So now you have heard an old man wittering on but please never treat me differently.

I'm sorry for my (possible?) late response, I'm on holiday and did not check the forum for 2 days. I've set the timer to 18 hours, hoping that everybody agrees. I'm sorry, I'm not in touch with here enough to be able to have a debate. If everybody disagrees, just post it here, and I'll set the timer back next time I read it.

I'm back next saturday. (didn't share it with everybody, hoping that nobody would find out and invade me while I was gone )

while I was logged into my server, something went wrong. I got some windows update dialogs, which I closed, but then the explorer crashed. I can right now not connect to the server anymore.

It's 2am, I can see if it recovers itself during the night. (perhaps it's just installing windows updated, and will be ok again tomorrow morning). If not, then I'll see if I can ask my brother to reboot it manually. He has the key of my house.

Someone has to try to slow you down. You're six turns from education while the rest of us are lucky to be in the middle ages.

An 18 hour timer is fine by me. We definitely don't want any double moves. Yea, I can't connect to the server either.

But sure, this war was expected..actually it should had happened long before.. because it would had been much easier for Rome.

Rome has the biggest land full of resources, forests and hills, while my land 60-70% whortless desert, the rest mostly floodplains and virtually no hills and forests. So I have mone but no production at all. I almost hadn't built a single military unit, they all come from slavery..but slaving a cottaged city without food resource is not optimal.

Since I had expected this war at least by now I have some macemen to fight with..a few turns ago it would had been an easy ride for Rome

I may need a short term sub as I think I need a complete system rebuild. I am struggling on at the moment but it is now taking 20 minutes just to get Civ to run. My internet connection is hardly stable either.

An 18hr timer is a great help as I should be able to knock up a new machine over the weekend but if this one does not survive until then I would be grateful for a volunteer.

So, I'm back 8)
It was a terrible holiday. My car broke TWICE on the first day, had to leave it behind in Hamburg. Had to proxy buy a new car which was drive to Hamburg by my father, kids had to wait 5 hours on MCDonalds Hamburg with my wife while I was calling the entire world for help. Later had to return to Hamburg to figure stuff out (Hamburg = 5 hours from home and 5 hours from vacation address).

Then in the 2nd week of my vacation my son was pretty ill.
AND HOLLAND LOST THE FINALS!!!@!%$!@%%!@

Anyway, I'm back home now, fancy new car, son is healthy again and I'm now happy to be vice world champion 8)

Good to see that the #1 and the #2 of this game are at war. Did anybody already notify Rasputin? How are you all?

I cannot get into the game, for some considerable time an 'establihed peer Michael Jackson' has been blocking access, whether he is there blocking or left game in blocked state i cannot tell.

Michael Jackson is blocking the game again.

I am at war with Michael Jackson and do not find this odd at all. He is deliberately logging in but not finishing his turn so that he can login again and act accordingly after I have moved. He has now taken to not logging out at all.

Justice will prevail and Sumeria triumph so everything will be alright in the end.

Please try and avoid indefinite war and play as a diplo game.

And don't forget that civs can not be eliminated until 1000 ADS.
