triples shouldnt be given that much weight for how many there are, thats my only gripe. I'd rather go with XBH but then we'd have to dump HRs I think. Of course homers get reflected in SLG, R, RBI, and H too, but HRs are just a big part of the game. I wouldn't mind 1,2,3,HR but we'd be in the minority on that one.

H/9 & BB/9 is essentially the same as WHIP, so I could vote for

QS, SV, HLD, K, K/BB, WHIP, ERA

Adding IP wont upset me, but there's gotta be a relevant stat we can use to favor SPs, even Wins. The reason I dont care much for IP is it basically comes down to who can get more starts in a week due to scheduling.

Yeah Sloww, QS (quality starts) requires a SP to throw at least 6 IP of 3 era or less. Unfortunately if your SP gets a QS and he throws a 7th and gives up a 4th run he loses the QS. It happens occasionally...

My only helpful feedback on the whole stats question is definitely keep HR and... no HLDs.

I think I prefer H & TB over 1b, 2b & 3b, but I care less about that than HR & HLDs.

we can have a vote on HLD if y'all want, dont matter to me. But we should vote on it since we've been using holds

so far I see 2 for holds (Fist and EPW) and 2 against (EmpFab and Ozzy)

keep in mind though if we do away with holds we'll need something else

Pitching category possibilities:
GIDP-Should help starters; perhaps too unpredictable and too uncommon
WHIP->H/9, BB/9 Creates an extra category
OBPA->Probably favors relievers, similar to WHIP
TBa->favors relievers
CG->favors SP, but probably too uncommon
W/L->favors SP, but we already have QS
IP->favors SP, lame\
IRA->favors SP, too uncommon

I'd rather go with wins over ip, even if guys can get a win for 1/3 inn it still favors starters and winning is what its all about.

dropping HLD leaves us with 7 cats, I'd like to have 1 more batting cat than pitching, but 8 and 8 is fine if we like the stats.

Also, while I recognize the limitations of holds as a category, I can't think of any other way to represent middle relief/set-up guys, who are a vital part of baseball today. So I'm pro holds.
