Well Sir, it doesn’t matter, they will now intervene. We are preparing for the worse; all armies have been put on high alarm. Our Korean friends are sending reinforcements. All cities have orders to switch to military buildup. All obsolete units will be upgraded to Red Coats and Machine Gunners.

Hmmm has it come down to this, I though diplomacy was going somewhere with Justinian. We were having progress on this Arab/Greek war.
Generals:
Sir it seems their letters failed to reach us in time, some kind of a blackout, they just arrived though.

Well I will immediately write to Justinian and seek a ASAP solution to this, before it get out of hands.
Generals:
Sir what you do not know is that we have resumed our Intel on Byzantium, there is just too little trust currently, we have to know what is going on in Byzantium.

Hmm that is disappointing; we had an understanding with the Byzantines on this. But I guess security comes first in these times of trouble.

Now you can see why it would had been better for everyone if we had converted Byzantium to Sha'Tao and removed their evil leadership. They could watch poor Greece exterminated because that's their interest.
We are too far from this conflict, but know that India supports it's taoist brothers in their mission to protect Greece against Byzantium's evil forces.

Justinian read the latest intelligence reports from the English capital and the the diplomatic post.
He shook his head at the lastest from Korea, knowing full well that there were Korean soliders positioned but a period's march from the Byzantine border. He could see the crafinesss of their policy - Korea defend England, so English troops are free to massacre the Arabs - but knew that no nation woudl be fooled that this still amounted to England and Korea combining together to attack the Arabs.
But then he called for some water and splashed his face with it, reminding himself that he must not get wound up by the Koreas - there were many lives at stake.
He read through the diplomatic and intelligence documents again.
Nodding he smiled.
The latest from Prime Minister Frank was hopeful, positive even. At last the long friendship between the English and Byznatines (he laughed warmly remembering the old slogan of 'the people of the red cross') was bearing fruit and looked as if it would avert world war.
The English had flexed their muscles. Well, the Arabs did need to understand that they were in danger of going from reason to excess, which nobody, Byzantium included would support. We had made it clear diplomactically, but well, perhaps it is not surprising that the English did so militarily.
But the English had seen the sense in pausing and withdrawing their armies. They too knew the dangers of appearing to go to excess.
Now a moment for peace to have a chance.
- Greeks knowing that they could not simply demand a return of everything under the threat of the English and Koreas annihilating the Arabs
- Arabs knowing that they could not just continue the war, hoping that Byzantium's policy of non-intevention gave them so blank cheque.
Justinian ordered his generals to stay their hand. To remain watchful in case the English withdrawal did not happen, but he was confident that it would.

The korean ambassader to Byzantine walked across the road again, he had spen his whole life here in Byzantine afte rhis father the former ambassader had moved here.
He had wlaked th estreets of Constantinople , he had enjoyed the lavish fetes held by the Byzantines. His children attended traditional Byzantine schools. His wife was a Byzantine woman.
Over the past few months, his joy at living insuch a splendourous country had turned more and more to sadness.
Messages from home coming across his desk, he was instructed to take more and more regular missives to his counterpart across the road.
His Byzantine counterpart was his freind. The best man at his wedding. They had shared beers after work evrey day.
That was until the Greek Invasion. With that invasion somehow everthing changed. But looking back now, he should have seen it coming, his freind across the road had become more secretive for about 6 mths before the invasion.
Hisd firend had not even mentioned the Arab army travleing through Byzantine to him, his bosses back in Korea had qwuestioned his ability.
And so began the feelings of mistrust. Eventually he and his friend had stopped meeting socially. No contact except the ever increasing messages from Korea to Byzantine.
And now he wlaked again across the road. His heart heavy with grief from the content of the letter. The Koreans were unhappy with the latest letters from Byzantine.
He had read them, seen them blatantly accusing Korea of slaughtering arabs. Accusations of the highest order.
And so he crossed the road one last time. He enquired at the front office for his freind, he was informed he was out but he was well aware that his friend was indeed in having seen him lookin gout the window above into the street.
He sighed a heavy sigh and handed the young Byzantine lady the letter and turned and walked out one last time.
Outside he was met by the Korean secret service and escorted south to the English borders.

Oroetes shortly after his self-installation as Steward of Media, reinstalled Hairy Hastogianism as the State Religion of Media. The Fat Gurus protested! "This can NOT come from Guru Beli'Az!" they yelled. But Oroetes entered the chamber of Beli'Az, and when he left it again, he ordered to kill all the Fat Guru's to be executed, in the name of Guru Beli'Az of Media.
"Beli'Az has switched sides" he told the people. "Hastog has spoken to him, while he was meditating, and showed him the true nature of Hastogianism, which is Hairy!"
The majority of the Medians was Hairy, and not many asked questions about the real deal with Guru Beli'Az and his ever ongoing meditations. They cheered in the streets and were inspired by the new Hairy Hastogianistic administration.
The people produced more and earned more money.
Apart from changing the state religion once again, Oroetes also installed a drafting system. All young men had to be available to serve in the army during times of war.
The new Free Market also boosted the economy.
New times for Media! Some expected Media to start flourishing under Oroetes more then ever before!
Oroetes, being mesmerized by all the kind words, felt like he could rule the world. He started to make plans to bring New Persia under Median control gain, in secret. He dreamed about being the Emperor of Media and New Persia.

You shall not worry! We won't let those greedy hastogianists reclaim and exploit your fair cities! Only over your dead bodies..ehm.. I mean over our soldiers' dead bodies!
We did not know that the situation was such dire, we of course will send our army to protect you, even bring the fight to Media so they will learn not to threaten freedom ever again.
I suggest you start putting your colonies under Indian authority for the more efficient cooperation. Hold on untill our forces arrive and try to stall for time.

Apparently the Medians are able to send more and stronger reinforcements to New Russia then you can. My hope was on you, but now I fear that both New Persia AND New India may fall if the Medians continue their expansionism, inspired by your public messages. Who can be sure now if the Medians will stick to their mutual non-aggression pact with you?
God forbid that the Medians hear about this and send their ships immediately to your poorly defended New Russian shores! WHO WILL HELP US THEN, when you are gone?
Next time you invite us into the Indian Empire, please put your money where your mouth is and be ready to welcome us. Now you brought the both of us in an impossible situation.

My armies are about to enter New Russia and end the Persian uprising against the Median empire. Do not interfere or I will consider our non aggression pact because of a violation of the pact by India. I will also call upon my allies to counter your expansionism. New Russia is Median. Don't be mesmerized by the Median aspiration of independence. The highest ranked soldiers of the New Persian armies are Median generals.
We will however continue to respect your New Russian colonies if you will live up to our non-aggression pact and keep your hands of our colonies.
But don't be mistaken, a war between India and Media could not start under better circumstances then the current ones for Media. If not for the pact we signed, I would invade you unprovoked and take your weakly defended cities straight away.

Despite what you might have heard we are not planing to take any military action against You, and you too should avoid breaking the sweat peace we have in the colonies. You know as well as I do that none of us could fully controll and defend those cities right now, so a conflict only would led to bloodshed and destruction.
We urge you not to send military units to the region because that could endanger the peace between us.
