Any Farming games out there for PC?

I joined Facebook with my family, its great, we keep up from all over the US.

I started playing Farmtown, Farmville and Lil Farm..all great fun/

Then I started looking for a PC version of sorts, got a look at several and found John Deere American Farmer Deluxe, pretty decent

Any other games similiar out there anyone may know about, preferrably you can do offline?

Thanks in advance, I enjoy playing these games like this due to not having usage of my left hand....

That sounds about as exciting as watching grass grow.

If that remark was directed at me, I have a dang sore handicap oerdin, so when it comes to games, I am unable to use my left hand since it is now permanently fused

I have had to seek alternate entertainment, so have enjoyed the economic strategic gaming aspects of such games as I am seeking, I do value the opinions and feedback here from folks, although not so much the smart-tail comments, although lately it seems a lot of Ploy feedback exists of just that

If you have something constructive to add, I would appreciate it, if not then remain amongst the status quo

Darn, and I was about to suggest Farmer's Daughter, a game where you have to protect your daughters against waves of pesky boys.

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

The saturation of farm games on Facebook is ridiculous. Seriously - how distinctive can Farmville be from Farm Town in terms of play, style, and so on?

I like playing Farm Town - a simple game that I can play for just a few minutes at a time but as of now, that is the only Facebook game of any kind that I play.

Sim Farm was a pretty interesting game. What do you think about it GT?

Sim Town also had some farming elements in it as well, I believe.

on the more macro-level: Sim Earth is an amazing game along that line.

For underground adventure, try Sim Ant.

I'm not quite sure what I was thinking, but at some point I purchased all of the above games. But found them enjoyable.

Back in the day when I had the SNES console, I owned Sim Ant - it was FUN game.

But, when I rented and tried Sim Earth, I gave it a chance a few times, but then got bored with it - it felt like watching and maintaining a fish aquarium.

SimEarth was a great game. DwarfFortress reminds me of it in some ways, except Sim Earth had a much better interface. I enjoyed all the Sim games I listed... with the exception of Sim Town- somehow it did not compare to Sim City or SimCity 2000.

GT one solution for non-vista compatible games- buy a netbook! In the US, I believe they are at 300 dollars. And probably for another month or so they'll have XP instead of The New Windows 7, and XP should run Sim Farm... but you'll need an external CD drive to play it likely-- but you can buy those and plug them into the USB unit.

Same for me, with the exception of Sim Town, which I never possessed.
I especially loved to play around with genetics/ecology in Sim Life

I noticed a farming game when recently looking through the strategy category of http://www.freegameempire.com/games

They have a clever system of letting us play old games on a PC even if it's too new to play DOS games ordinarily.

Sorry, I don't know of any farm games. You might enjoy some of the city building games. Caesar 3 and Pharoah need economic management and can be played with one hand.
