its been a wile since I've been on these forums and even then I had civ 4. well yestuday I found and bought a civ3 gold edition/ civcity:rome. well civcity:rome is loaded and fun to play, Civilization III on the other hand is displaying an error messege on startup going something like this...

Font Error.

Error Loading Font. (error code 28)!!

game will now exit.

tried 2 patches and its not fixing. I don't now if theres anything more I can do.

and if this is in the wrong forum, there was no "Civ3 help" area that I could visualy see.

try finding the font error in this forum. I recall it was mentioned a few years back. I never had the problem, so I am not familiar with it. One thing I would check is after install, what is the version.

Loading the game should show the version. If not use CAII. The game probably is already patched to 1.29f the final fix for Civ3. If it is conquest, then 1.22
