Ok, but say it happens to me

I dont see his player and do a double move, now he says he was going to take it

Whats the difference between him playing his turn #8 and then I end up last and take my turn 8
Now we are both beside the hut

Turn 9 i happen to take

What the heck right does he have at the hut versus me?

He could have watched the clock and jumped right in?

Im just a little confused, we are both going for it and its free for all?

Someone mind explain that logic to an old gramps of why he deserves it over me?

Then someone explain why he or anyone else should be allowed to settle on a ground that is superior to mine?

To me, its luck of the draw

It is now 6:27 PM EST and 3 hours left which would put the clock not at 24 hours but at 27 hours and 38 minutes??

As I stated earlier, I didn't even know that his scout was any where close to the hut until after I had already popped it.

Quite frankly, with peoples scouts running all over the map, getting the goodie huts are basically the luck of the draw. My scout was just busy trying to push back the dark regions of the map. I did nothing nefarious by moving my scout.

And a point I would like to make: My first move was made at 4:45AM - I didn't make my next move until over 12 hours later. In peacetime, how long are we supposed to drag out the turn?

Besides, we are all still waiting on Gitbliss to finish his turn...

Ah yes - Gramps, even with a 24 hour turn timer, the 24 hours get a bit out of wack with the timer delays of players joining and exiting the actual game...so the turn roll-over is actually a bit longer than what the timer is set to.

            It must

because most people take < 3 minutes

that would really be wacky, very odd indeedy

Oh and yes amazing, the same person yet again holding things up

Well, the turn took 28 hours and something like 15 minutes

              not 24

And lo and behold, Gitbliss missed his turn, go figure

              New Turn up and running

Regarding the scout double move...the diplo game rule is how it should be because otherwise it is advangeous for people to wait to play last in turn so they can double move for huts. Same is for settlers.

So in the sake of not slowing down the game this rule has to be enforced. Otherwise whenever the scout is in vicinity of something or a settler out...people can just wait until last minute of the clock to take advantage of the double move to gain a hut or settle a favorable position.

I played the end turn and the first of the next turn and then logged out and came and posted.

i posted at 6 :00 PM but remembered played the turn about 7 minutes to 6 PM

Now its about 15 minutes to 6 which should leave just a few moments left but the clock is showing 3 hours and some change

                    Any explanations?

                    Thanks

If Wittlich didn't see gitbliss (as he says) until he'd already popped the hut it wasn't a double move. The rule only applies if both units are in plain sight of each other.

But if he didn't see you until his second move (when he popped the hut) the rule doesn't apply.

                            Thanks for responding

I hope you get it fixed

Folks, what is the deal now?

                            Keep moving?

(If so can we somehow force Gitbliss's move so not having to wait the full 24 while he gets his net working?)

Or do we simply do the gentlemanly thing and hold up the game?

                            Im cool either way
