    Peuw My first victim

    Teh Peeled Bananas
    1. (9) Chase Utley
    2. (16) Johan Santana
    3. (33) Ryan Ludwick
    4. (40) Justin Morneau
    5. (57) Adam Dunn
    6. (64) Rich Harden
    7. (81) Jermaine Dye
    8. (88) Brad Lidge
    9. (105) Joba Chamberlain
    10. (112) Garrett Atkins
    11. (129) B.J. Ryan
    12. (136) Miguel Tejada
    13. (153) Xavier Nady
    14. (160) Jorge Posada
    15. (177) Chris Young
    16. (184) Joey Devine
    17. (201) Brandon Morrow
    18. (208) Jason Giambi
    19. (225) Troy Glaus
    20. (232) Rick Ankiel
    21. (249) John Smoltz
    22. (256) Denard Span

Now this is a team of sluggers, 5 guys at 30+ HRs and that dont even include the starting 1B. And a couple might join the crowd if Giambi can do it again. Wow, 9 guys near or above 500 SLG. Not surprising they wont be taking too many liberties on the basepaths, this has gotta be the slowest team so far. New SS is what the Doc orders for this team... Santana and Harden, yikes. I'm biased toward both having used them in the past. The pen is in a bit of turmoil, 2-1 S/H with Lidge and Devine might work and Ryan is still coming back from TJ surgery so he might be really back this year. Or he may never be back... Joba and Young have potential to dominate as 3 and 4 SPs.

Thats a good team EPW, smelling like roses, we'll find out soon enough how good - we play each other to start the season. And it wont be no cakewalk for me to win, it might for you. I'd say you're in the running with Guy so far...

Wow. Very well stacked team. Starts at the top with the best player in baseball. Arguably the best starting OF as well with Beltran, Bay, and Crawford right off the bad (Crawford, coming back from injury should be much better). Webb is a very good 1 SP. Not sure if Billingsley and Liriano can fully live up to the massive promise, but I think Billingsley will come very close and Liriano will do very well, but be hampered by injuries along the way. In the mid rounds, Lester may end up being a superstar this year. Tulo will bounce back (look at his numbers at the end of last year) and Beltre was a smart, smart pickup). In the late rounds Upton was a very good pick (which, tbh, I was eyeing up as well). Not sure if Swisher will get the ABs he needs, but not bad. Bell and Lindstrom are underrated, but can get you saves... though watch for some rotator cuff tightness by Lindstrom since he came back from the WBC.

I'm having a hard time deciding between your team's and Stuie's... but I think he's got a couple more great late round prospects. Barely put him ahead of you. Well done padawan:

        EPW
Utley and Santana are studs. Though Santana is coming back from injury, so something to watch. Don't know Ludwick is going to be able to do what he did again last year. Dunn is a good pickup, but a more pitchers' park in Washington. I don't trust Harden, and I think he'll give you, at best, half a year (spread out). Lidge will be very good, but don't think he'll match last year, quite as much. In the mid rounds, Ryan will be good, though coming back from some arm problems. Joba shall give you some numbers, though with the additions to the staff, he may be 8th inning again. I don't think Tejada will be that great, but he has a chance to show that last year wasn't a fluke. Devine has a great arm, but Ziegler is no spring chicken. I can see a fight out for saves which will hurt both numbers (and, of course, Billy Beane doesn't really care about having a "go to guy"). Late on, Ankiel and Glaus will give you homers from the bench, and Giambi may have something in him just yet. Span is a good pick for a final round, but I think Smolz is done. Think there may be a few people on your team who are heading downwards this year from highs last year. Of course, if Harden stays healthy for the year, it'll be something else entirely.

I like the rotation, I didn't get Liriano this year but he was lights out before the injury and he's had a decent spring. Billy, Webb and Lester make a nice foursome. Not as good as Guy's but you'll compete with that squad. The OF is decent and any line up with Pujols should contend, but I see some holes in the offense. Soto's good but the infield looks kinda anemic. Nice overall mix of power and speed on offense and good starting pitching makes this team a contender for the playoffs, but where's the bullpen? Two lower tier closers wont do the trick...

            21. (242) Brad Ziegler
            22. (263) Ramón Hernández

            Jdd
I like how this team begins. Hanley and Hamilton form a good offensive core. Russell Martin is a very good C and Soria is a top, top reliever. However, I'm not sure I like the SP as much. Kazmir has very good numbers, but tends to get nagging injuries making him inconsistent. I think Volquez will end up being your ace as his upside is pretty good. Marmol was good last year, but rumblings that Kevin Gregg is doing some great stuff while Marmol was away... and that isn't good. In the mid rounds, Josh Johnson is a fashionable sleeper pick and I think he'll do well. He'll be a very good #3 starter. Hawpe was also a good pickup. I really like what you did with 3B, picking up the underrated Zimmerman followed by the rising Gordon back to back. Late in the draft, Maine may end up being good, or stagnate, as he seemed to do at times last year. Choo will be a very good OF and will play himself onto your starting lineup... if he isn't there already. Ziegler will get his numbers, and Hernandez, by the end of this year will have numbers that some starting C's don't. But I'm wary of your starting pitching.

              Capybaras
Parts are a mess. Some are ok. Howard is at #1 and though I consider him overrated, that's ok. Wang, though, at 3 is not good. Mauer may have some injury issues and may hurt his value. Cantu and perhaps Peralta were taken too high. In the mid rounds, Greinke will be your ace (good pickup). Baker and Lilly will also be of good value. Bruce may hit well or he may find he isn't good enough getting on base. In the late rounds, Maybin will be a good player, just not this go around. Weeks always somehow fails to live up to potential. Mora, though, is a very good pick in the second to last round.

Nice start in the OFs. Sizemore and Manny are a great pair. And, by extension, Ethier as well (look at Ethier's numbers after Manny joined the Dodgers, seriously... its amazing). Of course that means if Manny gets hurt or run out on a rail... well... Haren and Shields are a very good 1 & 2. Ramirez and Uggla back to back make it a very nice infield, though SS may be an issue. Depends on if Aviles can capitalize on a great first year last year. Also in the mid rounds, I like Broxton and Danks as well in the bullpen. Late, Cust will hit a good deal of HRs and unlike most other leagues, his low BA won't matter (and his OBP is actually pretty good). You also seem to have the hold market nailed down with Putz & Perez. Nice squad:

Ks were obviously a priority for this team, 4 SPs around a K/IP and 2 more not far off. One problem with the pen, a nice problem to have, but 4 closers or 3 and 1? I dont know, Marmol or Gregg? Devine or Ziegler? Maybe this will go away and 2 closers will become set up men. Anyway, you might be dropping someone to compete for Holds. I like the top 3 SPs and the back ups aint terrible. Wtf is up with Maine? Eh.
This is Hanley and Hamilton's team anyway, nice OF Hachoo excuse me and Hawpe has the everyday job? Can he hit lefties now? He did last year. The rest of the IF and a weak bench aint too inspiring but a decent C and 1B may be enough to save this team a playoff spot. Another one for the rabid pack fighting for the table scraps.

                    22. (258) Jonathan Sánchez

                    Fist
Miggy, Braun, and Upton are good (especially with Upton fully recovered from the shoulder). I think Ortiz is heading on a downward slide, so I'm not so keen on him. Lackey is a good 1st SP, but I dunno about Vasquez. In the mid rounds, I like Votto and Hardy. Should give you very nice production this year. Sandoval is also a nice pick. Dukes could be good if he gets his head in the game. Late on, Clement could be a steal if he realizes his potential.

And Snoopy aint firing blanks, 5 guys at 30+ HR and 11 above 450 SLG, naturally steals will be low. I really think this offense sinks or swims with Manny's health. You can compete without him but you need him to make the play offs. And the borderline pitching makes him even more important. If Harang comes back to form, and he's showing signs of it, that'll make for 3 good SPs leading the way for a 1-2 S/H combo. Yeah, still think the pitching is borderline, if this team makes the play offs it'll be the offense powering Snoop, and that means a healthy Manny... The dude is just awesome. No need for him to use steroids, just lift some weights and use that amazing hand eye coordination to rip the ball all over the place. Damn, another guy I wanted to draft and didn't get him.

Btw, for fun I dragged last year's weekly fantasy draft:

Some fun stuff in there (drafting Tulo in the 3rd round hurt me... and I kept him on the DL for soooo long, and Verlander in the 6th , but Longoria in the 22nd was a great pick).

Your A-Rod pick wasn't bad . And you picked Pedroia in the 7th. So there you go.

Some burners to keep you in the runnin for steals, but I dont see enough power, the RBIs, even runs. I do see 2 guys who might reach 40 HRs and Papa Ortiz, so maybe I'm just missing something. The offense aint bad, far from it - if Upton and Ortiz rebound and Votto steps it up it'll be a good offense. The pitching is another matter, I like that Kuo dude and I'll be watching Javier in Atlanta (vested interest) but Lackey Cueto, Parra, Sanchez and Myers = ? I know how you will feel when you go up against Guy's pitchers
I assume Rauch moved up a spot in Az so more Holds are coming his way, so the pen can compete for both cats.
