This was a very interesting game for me, which I totally squandered all by myself

My first tri-league game, and I was so used to abusing the save/reload/quit functions. This game made me appreciate civ4 very much again.

Isolated play is always difficult but I tried to make the most of the Portuguese traits and UBs, building cities quite fast and getting lots of trade money. I was ahead in tech slightly I think, but Yacob had gained massive domination of the other continent by the late game. I tried to maintain some sort of diplomatic alliance against him, but I failed. I was going for a space race win which I might have won, but very stupidly I had myself built the UN!

Obviously mr Yacob got elected...
