  • Not Liking To Talk On The Telephone. A Sin?

I don't like to talk on the phone. If I was going to go down my 2 lists that matter about this, one would say "Things I don't like" and one would say "Things I need to feel badly about and apologize", talking on the telephone would be fairly near the top of the first list, and hovering near the bottom of the second.

Which leads me to wonder, how do you feel about it?
Are you a....phone person, or a person with phone phobias?

    Phoneless and loving it, baby.

I try to keep things textual. I like my mobile phone more for the fact that it provides me internet everywhere, rather than as a audio communication device.

This is about talking on the telephone, not your ability to access porn sites.

I generally dislike talking on the phone as well. I'd much rather talk in person, or via email... on the phone I think has none of the advantages of talking in person (no ability to read facial expressions and such) and all the disadvantages (no delete key).

              I agree entirely.

I talk to my mom (About once a week), to my siblings about once a year, and to my best friend a couple times a year.

Other then that I just use my phone to plan get togethers/etc.

                And to surf the internet.

I'm in a weird subset here. I actually like talking on the phone -- which is good, not only because it's an important part of my job but because I don't live near any of my friends. But I hate making phone calls -- that is, initiating the phone conversation. I'll talk on the phone for hours, but I'll put off making the call for as long as possible.

Eventually, there will be powerful psychotropic drugs to help me with this problem, provided I don't mind side effects like intermittent blindness and sudden limb loss. I look forward to that day.

I can talk up to an hour or more on the phone with the right person. But usually, my calls with family or friends averages about 20 - 30 minutes.

Now, with others, I have not had phone sex yet. Has anyone done that?

Nope, I've never had phone sex with someone before. Hence why I asked if others have, and what it's like.
