Correct, mine was more of old Gramps humor and then addressed/clarified in previous post.

Odd how that works, I have had several games where what happened to him happened to me, it hurts and well, thats Civin and what can you do?

If you don't join the tourney quinns, I'd prefer a one game setup, I know it's more random but I really don't have time for another duel game.

I prefer wonders off, pollution off, max goods, max diverse, ruins off and no AI. The rest I don't mind.

I began to wonder about that strategy when my first series of attacks destroyed nearly every unit in my empire and still failed to capture a single city! Lucky for me, I had better land and just ramped up the production and repeated with a new batch. Excellent defense Gramps!

Just to get the match lists right: Match 196 is completed (see this post: http://apolyton.net/forums/showpost....&postcount=285). This does not affect the ladder, since I was above Grandpa Troll by the time the match ended.
