  • Sengoku Jidai v3 ToT

This is a rather hasty ToT conversion of DV's excellent Sengoku Jidai v3 scenario. The main point of this post is the new gfx files: units and people are by me, terrain by Catfish and FavFlight, cities by Curt.

You must get DV's original mge version to get his html readme and the sounds (highly recommended). If Catfish is still around, i'm sure he'd make a far better conversion. Quite frankly, I'm lacking motivation, and I guess if I waited any longer to post, there'd be no-one left here to play it

Excellently done! Now all I need is to dig out through my archives for the sounds and such. Very nice and it looks great.

If this is rushed, it is the best rush-job I have ever seen.

it seems very interesting. I've never played this scenario. Is there any reviews?

            Thanks.

It's a great scenario MacG; it was part of an SL scenario competition 5 or so years ago, so if you search you'll find plenty of comments about it. The nicest touch is the way DV event-awarded unit upgrades by defeating enemies.

I searched back to find the reviews when DV released it (2002/3 timeframe if memory serves), but the search function stops at the big crash I think. Can't seem to access any of the SL threads from before this time.

Give it a shot though - it's a classic with lots of novel features.

Fine. I got transferred back to Athens recently.
I'm on leave, going to Prague tomorrow.

Stupid "Monday car" Golf's engine died on me finally.
I d'rather get a cheap FIAT or a Hunday next time VW sucks in every possible way,in terms of engineering.Overengineered dysfunction.

Tres bien, JusteLigne! Ise appears to be in for a charming visitor!

Wasn't this scenario a winner or runner-up for a SL contest?

MacMonkey, your driving reputation is growing. If I'm not mistaken, weren't there a few posts about your parking skills a while back. Oh, well...I've had to cede the drivers seat, while my wife is in the car. On a recent trip from Canada, she became sick after only 70 minutes of my driving.

That is a neat way to get out of having to drive so you can relax, nap or play CIV2 in the car. Nicely devious work on your part. Well done.

Money can buy happiness, just raise the luxury rate to 50%.
Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.

Thanks! Devious behavior may run in the family. I think this sickness was more a case of soon-to-be Boco-ette wreaking havoc on Mom's hormone balance.
