Just wanted to point that out to prove who the real BSer is. But feel free to keep throwing up smoke to try to obscure the real facts.

It's not like it matters who started it. Adults should not insult other ones for no reason, especially if they punish those who do. But I assume it's all moot since Asher's going to help with some ModPolycast or whatever down the line right?

I'll be on record to assist/moderate a second otcast if Asher is serious and a bit more flexible. It may take a bit of time to coordinate and set up, but I'm interested to see how some alternate software might do.

I'm sure if I'm involved and provide some editorial approval, that the rest of the owners will be more likely to post it.

Just listened to it and I really enjoyed it. It's interesting to listen to mods/admins talk about posters. I also found it very interesting to hear Canadians talk about US politics. If you all did another one, I'd definitely listen to it.

I'm not a modder, so I must say I found this one more interesting than Modcast.

When I used the term 'moron' I was quoting someone previously in the thread, I don't recall who. I was considering using quotation marks to stress that but frankly didn't want to sound too much like DanQ -- I guess we now know why he sounds like that so often. Perhaps I should've been more clear I was quoting or even avoided the term altogether, I apologize if someone genuinely took offense. But the fact that Asher and Wiglaf are getting all uppity over *me* using the term when either they used it themselves first or didn't even think twice about it when someone else did makes it highly unlikely that either of them (or anyone else for that matter) are doing anything but play one of their silly little games. Considering how many complaints we get EVERY SINGLE DAY about the both of them and they've never even once apologised to the all people they've offended -- talk about f*cking hypocrisy.

But my point stands: if anyone after all the lies Asher has been caught in (whether it's forging PLUS user agreements or being permabanned or any of the other dozens of things we've proven him to have been lying about), after all the bullsh*t he spouts every day, all the flame wars he's provoked, all the stupid games he's played, while all the while never making any kind of meaningful constructive contribution to the site -- if anyone after all of that seriously believes he's not just trolling again but actually genuine about what he says and he actually knows better what he's talking about on something's he's never done in life than people who've been doing it and experimenting with alternatives for years and absolutely WANT him to be right on this because it would save them (us) many hours of work every week, without him providing anything but his self-righteous attitude as evidence even though we've given him at least half a dozen ins already to prove himself -- then you are the most ignorant, gullible, short-sighted sucker I've ever met. And no, if you feel that that applies to you and that offends you, I will not apologise for that -- you seriously need to re-evaluate your preconceptions about the people on this site and your reasons for being here.

Now, if Asher can prove his claims I'll be the first to congratulate him and ask him to share his wisdom with us so we can benefit from it ('cuz if it's a matter of giving up some pride or giving up 15 hours a week I don't have to think twice about that), but that would be a first.

This whole thread is a joke. Hours are wasted and the entire forum leadership is busy typing angry posts proving Asher wrong. Do your lives really spin around him?

Instead of either closing the discussion or talking a clam chance to prove Asher wrong, you have come down to his discussion level, and you're not winning.

Be adults. Either take Asher's suggestion or don't. We don't care. But use some authority and close this case. This looks more and more like a really poor israel vs. palestine thread.

It's worth a little trolling if it leads to another OTCAST, especially if I can include ASHER for entertainment value. Epecially if we can get one or two of his argueing partners.

I'd like to see it happen and test out Asher's claims. Occasionally he knows what he's talking about.

I'd like to schedule a time when Ming and I can both participate at his house together. It's more fun that way, and it would be quite entertaining to watch Asher and Ming verbally spar in real time.
