just don't make it a poll and let the team leaders vote in the threads by posting their teams choices.

OK in theory, but the vote could be 'manipulated' by those voting later in the thread.

Rather than voting for what they actually want, a team might vote for/against a particular setting just to support/defy a trend.

I propose sending Keygen our PM votes, and he posts the votes in the relative thread once all the votes are received, or the voting submission period is closed.

But I haven't seen Keygen around here for a while. So if you guys agree, you could hold your votes until I have posted The Rabbits vote publically, then send me your votes by PM, and once I have them all, or the vote times out, I'll post them for all to see.........

                    How does that sound???

The reason I am trying to streamline the process is because the only guideline (rumour) I have heard regarding the release date of the final BtS patch is :

                            Q1 (first quarter) 2008

We are now 2/3's of the way through that first quarter. If we could, I'd like to get things set in place here by the end of the month so we could be ready for when the patch does eventually get released.......

Ya but Trip is working on it, so plan on this summer
This is my problem: there is a danger of people losing interest if this doesn't start soon. cf warlords DG.

Is the new and final patch so crucial?

Will it change things in the early period that much. ?

(I haven't installed the latest unofficial patch, so don't know the fine tuning).

I want to see this succeed btw but keeping 8 teams hanging around until April and a possible patch is stretching things.

This particular DG concept started late January.

I suppose I am asking, Why precisely are we waiting for the patch?

Because it can be a real pain in the arse patching in the middle of the game - plus depending on what they change - teams can be disadvantaged if a certain path they were following becomes nullified by "game" changes, rather than someone beating them to it.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
