For example: If I want to adjust the properties of a disk drive in Windows, there are two potential areas I'd look in. First I'd examine the Properties of the drive in Windows Explorer. When it's not there, I'd immediately check the Storage Management option in the control panel where, well, storage management takes place in the computer.
And I find it hard to believe anyone in CS, math-geek or not, has never used that control panel before.

I've never seen a "storage management" option in the control panel (didn't use it to solve the problem, either), and of course I checked the properties.
Storage management is in the administrative tools control panel.

You can find the MMC right-clicking MyComputer and then selecting "Manage".
The process has been the same since 2k, at least.
