The state has been the basis for civilization since the rise of the worlds first hydraulic empires, the problems we may face in the near future (I am thinking mainly of ecological problems) may be so complex that only the state will be able to tackle them in a cohesive way.

Hayek is not a threat. He is a potential source of salvation. Thatcher (through Hayek's policies, turned England around from the failed economic state to a degree of opportunity for prosperity.

Morrissey is irrelevant and sad. He isn't even a "good" bluesman, just sad. A threat, if ever I saw one.
