Any thoughts on a third sphere? I'm leaning towards Construction - there are few construction 'monopolies' near my home planet.

That could work. But in general construction is a severly low-profit sphere.

It might be a good idea to wait until the economic patch is written.

Hmmm strange that everyone's talking about merchantile profits going south, mine have been unchanged for the last few months...

It's been going south in my neck of the woods. First an economic boom on Media Borealis--then a recession on Porrima--pretty much killed the most profitable trade routes. All that's left are a pair of average planets and 5 prosperous ones. I used the funds you gave me to rearrange my trade network so profits are a bit better now. I just need to hang on until I have enough to go into transport.

The recession on Porrima put one of my extortionately priced economy transport routes into the 'excellent' profits band for a while. Pack 'em in and ship 'em off, that's my motto.

Thanks to an extremely generous donation from House Albinus, House Gushur is pleased to announce the creation of Andromeda Star Tours--A.S.T. "...to boldly go where everyone has apparently gone before!"

Well House Lang has now entered the Slave trade until the Imperials catch up with me.

I've been able to get away with illegal trading for long stretches of time so long as I operated only one illegal route. Not really sure how the policing system works. The only time I got caught was when I created a second illegal route. But maybe that was because it originated from the same planet as my first one. Something to try might be multiple illegal routes between different planets (i.e., one from A-->B; another from C-->D).

The Emperor probably won't catch you now he's fighting House Gedrot.

Looks like the Sentinals are getting their asses handed to them. If the Emperor loses, I predict rampant tax evasion and illegal trading.

Lovely lovely war, giving me lots of nice juicy business opportunities.

Unfortunately none of the planets where the action took place are within my operational range, even if I set transport to primary. Perhaps I should consider moving my hq.

Well I hopefully that the Imperials can mount at least something of a counterattack with all of their backlog of cash.

I'm doubtful that even the Emperor's mythical millions could put a dent in Landsraad's forces.

The rampant piracy on Muhlifain Australis is forcing me to put security on my drug shipments to my opperations there. Hopefully that will increase my profits from that route.

Well with the defections from the Landsraad (and I'm sure Gedrot will leave after the war) I think we might be able to get to something resembling a balance of power soonish...
