    Napoleonic Wars (Europe)

    Hello to all,

i´m working on a remake of the classic Micropose Napoleon scenario for TOT. Like the original i will use the european map. I like it, because the map isn´t so big and covers the main cities in the scenario.

I will use all seven civs, three of them will be the main nations.

    The nations are:

    Neutrals:
This civ represents all the neutral nations in the scenario like Bavaria, Rheinbund, the Netherlands, Sweden, etc...
They can only build the normal units.

    Ottoman Empire:
Like the Neutrals, only with the normal units. The Ottoman Empire covers the Middle East and some cities in Nothern Africa.

    Russians and Austrians:
These two civs can build some special units and they are playable for the scenario.

    French, British and Prussians:
The three main nations with powerfull and strong units.
I took Prussia into the main nation because they became a very strong nation at the end of the Napoleonic Wars.

I have the icons and improvments already done, now i´m working on the units. If it is ok, i would like to use the great units from Fairline.

This would be my first scenatio for TOT. I know Civ2 very well (i have it since 1996), but i see that TOT is a little different as Civ2

In TOT you can use the maps from civ2 FW but you can´t change the years. When i enter, for example, 1795, the game doesn´t change the date.

When i use the map included in TOT, there are no problems with changing the date.

Did you ever had the same problem?
Can i only use the maps included in TOT?

The changing of the date is only a bug, IIRC, if you don't save it as an .scn file first, then open it and work from there. I could be wrong, but I recall using MGE maps before.

yes, it works know, thank you very much.

I´ve saved the game as a scenario first, then opened it and know i can change the date.

The icons are ready, most of the units also. I´m know selecting the special units for the nations. With TOT i have much more slots free for the units then with civ2 FW.

I have modified some Units for my Napoleonic Scenario.

First of them are the Russians.

I am working on the other Nations.

I thought about using generic naval units, a galeon, a frigate, a transporter and a ship-on-the-line. I also thought about using an ironclad, but they didn´t build in the napoleonic era. So i will change the unit into the "Victory" unit with Lord Nelson. Only for the British and not buildable.

I have some problems with changing the uniform colour into a white colour representing the Spanish and Austrian units.

Perhaps someone could help me, that would be great...

How can i post an image, like a screenshot in this message?

if you use the upload link at the top of the page, it will enter
your image to the server and then present you with a series
of links to use....Select the 'Full image location' option, copy
the text in the box to a post or notepad file...

Now what to do is type < img src= (no spaces) at the start of
the copied link, and then close the brackets with a '>' at the end too.

Cut and paste all of this into you post, and it should display the image!
