Its a bug of TOT. Only way I know of to fix it is to move the unit.bmp in the main TOT directory. Move them or erase them. It now should work fine.
I have a little (big) problem.
When i convert an old scenario to ToT everything runs smooth (and yes i've converted the gifs to bmps), and when i start the scenario in ToT it looks fine, the terrain looks great e.g. but the units are nice for 5 seconds, after that they become the original game units again. I don't wan't to imagine that what looks like a chariot is actually a spitfire plane. I don't know if this made any sence but is there a solution to the problem.

Yes, happened to me too. Then I moved all graphics files and it fixed
Or get MGE, I have because of multiplayer, but now all scenarios work too.

Well, i don't know if it's a bug of ToT or of CivConverter, but i know that i've fixed it! (Ok, on my computer, you've to try on your when V1.4 is available)
However check the CivConverter thread to gain more infos.
VetLegion: you left us for MGE?

Ok that sounds good, Scotto.

Yes, I've had the same problem too, except with scenarios that are made for ToT, like Congo! by Techumseh and The Great Game by Michael Daumen. In unzipped the files from each of the zip files into their own folders, in the Scenario folder, inside the ToT main folder. When I start the game graphics are there for 5 seconds and then go to ToT default. Could anyone please give me
advice? Thanks!
Well, I used the latest version of Civconverter (from civ.cx) and reconverted my scenarios and they work fine now.
Possibly you'll also have to turn animations off.
