I wish to join, and with my request I present an adage:

A builder purchased an axe from an axe grinder, and he was so very excited to use it, he ran home as fast as he could to cut down trees.

On the first day he cut down 100 trees... on the second 50... on the third 25 and on the fourth 10. Soon he was down to maximum exertion just to get one single tree felled.

The axe grinder came by to see how he was doing.

"You sold me a crappy axe, it won't cut down trees any more no matter how hard I try."

"Why don't you sharpen the axe", the wise axe-grinder suggested.

"If I spend time sharpening the axe, I won't have time to even cut down one tree!!" Complained the builder.

Then the barbarians came and destroyed everything because the builder party decided what to do with the axes!

You use your machete to cut the banana's for eating or you cut down the whole tree with a machete?

That's OK, I oppose his builderish notion of 'sharpening' when the proper means to address the situation is always a bigger hammer.

You won't say that when you see how much more effective a sharpenned metal blade is.

Being a real life Builder for my sins, it has taken some deliberation on my part deciding which way to go politically, the fence had so many splinters in it that i had to get on down, and for now at least i feel steered toward the grinders of the axes !
