The turn player should start a new thread for each turn. They should be started right after playing a turn so that discussion of the next turn has a place where it is easy to find all relevant information and discussion.

1337 h4X0rz like me could run a dictionary program and hack it pretty easily. Microsoft word even has a really easy to get to dictionary that comes with most computers nowadays...

I don;t find it very difficult to use a non-dicitonary word mixed with numbers.

*laughs* I use numbers, symbols and capital/lowercase letters in passwords, but I assure you that most of the passwords are not numbers and symbols like the tech geeks want.

In the Tumbleweeds thread we pretty much settled on Settler 8, Warrior 2 to get the best look around we can.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don;t think you get barb warriors from a hut adjacent to cultural territory.

No blue circles. Looks like we drew the short straw on initial radius resources. (unless we've got some resources we can't see w/in radius or due to tech and snoopy turned the blue circles off, which I suppose is possible.)

Significant piece of intel #1 for the KGB: all preceding teams (believe that's Merc, Vox and Banana) founded first turn. (ascertained by lower right corner scores)

That's confirmed by the three size 1 unknown cities in the Top 5 cities list, and the fact that we're 4th in every demographic except Import/Export and Soldiers.

No blue circles for me either. Are we moving settler 8 and warrior 2? The suspense is killing me. If we don't find anything, I bet one of the nearby hills has some kind of metal - otherwise it would be just so unfair.

Well, I am kind of surprised that no one took the initiative in my absence...I suppose I should take that to mean I'm the turnplayer?

OK. Nothing holding the settler where it is.

Move the settler 9 4. It ends on the hill 8 of us and spots hills farther away than we would see by just moving 8.

Also, a second river to our south is very nice. It will help make the tundra useful and may flow into nicer terrain.

Man, I must have bad timing today. No one on this morning when I wanted to do this stuff, and now no one on either...

Some minutia:

I put gridlines on for the shot, resource indicators (but there aren't any), and hid the interface - let me know if there is anything else that people standardly prefer for screenshots.

I created 3 labels on the Gmail account: Saves; Screenshots; and Diplomacy. Let's try to use these (and any others we create) consistently, to make finding things easier.
