Btw, this game was started before the last (minor) update on 6 May. ERKUTHER suggested not to use that update but stick to the alphax.txt that was used when the game was started. So in case you have downloaded SMAniaC after 6 May or have kept it up to date, here's the previous alphax.txt. I just keep it in my saves\Prime folder and copy-drag it into my main SMAniaC folder before playing the turn.

whole heartedly apologize for the delay, my attention's been sidelined by Elder Scrolls Oblivion since begining of May and I think I've only checked my email twice since then.

I have a new system so I'll need to reinstall SMAC + the mode (thanks for posting to old version of the Mod) I should have sometime tonight to get it setup and play my turn.

I was able to install ok, but I'm getting a "your CPU is not supported, you may continue to play but may experience crashes" popup and it gives me an ok or cancel, but no matter which one i choose it kicks me out of of the game. Have any of you seen this before? I have an Athlon 64 3500+ and running 2k SP4, I have all the patchs for SMAC in place.

In the Alpha Centauri.ini file, have you tried setting under Preferences ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm to 1?

Common problem with newer computers or when running Windows XP. (Though strangely enough, on my laptop I do not need to set the Algorithm to 1, while I had to on the older desktop )

If this doesn't work, you could also try downloading the XP Compatibility patch before setting the Algorithm to 1.
