  • Black holes?

So I hear black holes are in GalCiv II. What are they like, and what can you do with them? Can you use them to make power (say, from the x-rays, or using their gravitational field, or skimming stuff from the accretion disc, etc)?

(In MoO II you couldn't do anything with black holes, but your ships couldn't travel near them unless you had a leader with the Navigator ability in your fleet)

It's just a wormhole that causes your ship to randomly appear somewhere else in the galaxy.

I wonder how hard it would be to create black holes in this game. Essentially make a stable wormhole that leads to nowhere?

If that's feasable, the next thing to try might be to make a 'probability drive' that you could mount on ships, which you could use to jump to a random place on the map (with a small chance for the ship to be removed from the game entirely).
