that be a valued question... personally I say at least 4 - 6 weeks more...
also it might be wise to let word circulate of this discussion... if there is a note elsewhere on Beta's intentions for the coming months, then that is a good way of finding it, afterall there are many threads/forum/players scattered throughout this community...
it is with good intent that we ask, adding to that Beta has stood by many here many times.

Beta is gone and should be replaced.

I beleave (but can't remember if I'm recalling correctly), but I think he said something about having to take care of his parents for some time or something like that.
If he didn't make arrangements, then give him a bit more time, then go and try to replace him.
Only thing I can suggest.
I do know that he was in a ton of the PBEM's.
Even the most diehard of us all have RL things that take precident over a game (or just general online life).

From the several threads that I've looked at, it would seem that there are several things going on in his life right now, that are taking all of his time away.
Some of those include (and are not limited to them):
1) Taking care of his Mother, while his father's Mental facialties fail rapidly. This while having to drive (one way) 4 hours from his home to his parents.
2) His new Puppy (see his Avatar of some more info), which needs constant attention, while in the critical learning phases.
3) Just getting off of a 2 week Vacation.
These reasons (and more), we in Team Sarantium (C4DG) fondly call him "His Slugness".
Con might have more Info, but suffice it to say, that he would try to get them out if he could.
