  • Firaxis: errors with .nif files, etc. Where can I find a new set?

It seems like some of the .nif files on my machine are corrupted. For example:

building:Art/Structures/Buildings/Obelisk/Obelisk.nif does not contain a node called SHADOW. Its shadow, if present, will be corrupt!
    Got that from LSystem.log.

Are there any known good sets I can download?

That message is all over my log as well, I have a feeling its a pretty common error. Maybe it has something to do with why the shadows of buildings always look crappy and clippy in civ IV. At least they do during the few minutes before it crashes.
    Having problems running Civ IV?

I like how soren posted on the multiplayer issue, but firaxis and 2k are silent on the massive widespread fatal hardware damaging bugs.

I personally don't believe that software can actually damage hardware.
