you'll need a road... and if that's not enough, you'll need a road on geomodder's tile.

You're lowering yourself again to name-calling, Sabre.
Besides, I did warn you I could convince that stack to pull back.
Turn on!
Oh, g_storrow. I noticed you're in need of iron. Care to negotiate on me building a road on a certain hill.![]()
well first, don't be offended by humorous names (like GeoMonster, etc)... but now, this name is actually very appropriate. it's the second time you've planted a city right at my borders...
besides, my "stack" as you call it already helped you chop down than jungle. not much left anymore for you to finish...![]()

And why should I let perfectly habitable land go to waste within my borders? Moreover, the city was not planted "right at" your borders. Your borders didn't even got a dent!
If it's the same for you, let it be. My citizens like the view. Besides, I thought it's outside your "unhealthy" radius so no need to chop it down.Originally posted by sabrewolf

Could I need astronomy?

You need a road on that hill east of the iron hill towards my city.
And that will only work as long as we have an open borders agreement.
So, what offer do you have for me building and maintaining a road there?![]()

turn on sorry about the delay.

Next time, do your negotiating between your turns.![]()

I am happy to do that it is jsut I didnt understand the game more than anything. Still an excuse and I don't know if it is a better one as well![]()

Don't sweat it, at least you're not surrounded like I am.![]()
you could have settled north near the horsies but you let dauphin take that spot![]()

you're lucky that i'm a kind soul. my great artist could have culture-surrounded your iron city with one gulp![]()

Ah yes, but you would have given me no other choice in that case... but to bankrupt you.Originally posted by sabrewolf

Turn is forwarded. Was back home at the right time.
yeah... death by bankruptcy!
actually not funny. i lost my very first noble level game because of that. the first game was on warlord with an financial/organised civ (vicky, i think)... then jumping up 2 levels with a non-financial, non-organised civ and after planting around 5 cities in 3 turns my reserves were eaten up extremely fast. i think i was up to 80% tax rate or so![]()

So, were we doing a 20 turn limit on trading received techs by trade or another system?
Need to ask for I'm getting confused here by what is going around.![]()

I've never liked the concept of trading on techs received from another person at all....but if that's what you all want to do, then we'll play by/to a 20 turn rule.
