WWII Commonwealth

Had an easy time with the other players. Played China first, expecting to stay on defense the whole game, I was surprised that I was able too go on offense fairly quickly.

As Japan I razed many cities and continued my juggenaut.

My high score so far is America.

The Commonwealth has me confused, navy or ground pounders? long defense then attack Asia? It appears England has no there there.

I have only and WILL only played one game of this as the commonwealth. I will never play this scenario again.

Why?

The sheer hell of it!

Played as the commonwealth. Your units are locked in position apart from the drafted units that you may draft to begin with.

Commonwealth strategy is:

Prepare to lose Hong Kong.

Mobilise

Massive reinforcements to Singapore/Burma and Borneo.

stave of japs.

Launch two pronged offensive

1) - Pacific Island assualt using Carriers/Marines/Combat Engineers/Anzacs

2) Armour/Combat Engineers/Machine Gunners/Anything that can hold a rifle through Malaysia/Thailand Vietnam and into China.

Use lots of fighters/bombers. Most will get shot done but that is war.

Invade/Nuke japan mainland to hell.

Save game.

Leave PC.

Sit in dark corner gibbering away softly.

Seriously this dragged and dragged. I won by VP limit being reached. Japan was still in possesion of the Phillipines however.
