Question: Now that patch v152 is now available...what do we do? If we all upgrade, the save from this game may not be compatible...

Ya my fault. A XMASS weekend trip to Chicago turned into a week, and no real good internet at Grangma's house.

I haven't patched quite yet, but I have it ready to go. I'd prefer to patch since the Demogame will be with the patch.
Honestly, we're not far along yet, so if we restarted this it might not be too big a deal (though I liked my starting land). That would also give us the opportunity to change it around so con sends to Beta and we can hopefully get around the email problems between you two.
Plus I've heard that the saved games work fine (so far) when you apply the newest patch...
So if you guys want to load the newest patch, let me know and I'll do the same.

Games with admin passwords won't upgrade. There is a process for editing them out. Sabrewolf was doing it for some.
Btw, a dual install is as easy as a single click-n-drag if HD space isn't an issue.

So, ah, what happened to this game again? Last I saw it was stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place (Beta and con).
Let's patch to 1.52 and get a move on.
Lets restart this one with me going before beta. I just dont want to deal with email issues. I cant do apoly from work any longer so tracking down pbem's is NOT going to be high on my priority list.

All right, we are a go...again. I started a new PBEM after upgrading to v152, so make sure you're all upgraded.
The new turn order is Rhoth...conmcb25...Beta...Witt. So hopefully there won't be any email issues and this thing WILL move at the speed of Grand Passage.
It asked me for an admin password this time, which it did not last time. If you can't get in I will give you the new password.

He doesn't post there all that much either.
Well, this is a Civ4 game so what time he has, he could at least make an effort to playing or just duck out of all of his games all together - by way of an announcement of some sort.
My heartburn with Beta's actions (or inactions rather) is that he TOTALLY abandoned all of his games - which happend to effect all of my games - without notice.
I believe this is poor gamesmanship to say the least...and here I thought Beta wasn't like that (as much as I can know him in these forums)...
