I thought I would start a new thread since the game is finally underway.

One "problem" my colors and bases look like the usurpers instead of the Hive. Any possible reasons?

All of the faction colors on the power chart and graph are switched around and my bases have Usurper Architecture. Does anyone else have similar problems?

I am getting similar issues w/ faction colors.. last time I looked like morgan, this time like the pirates... It has something to do with having the custom alpha.txt file... but it doesn't really bother me that much...

In your "Alpha Centauri.Ini", you need to change the order of the faction settings. It should be:

Faction 1=UNIV
Faction 2=GAIANS
Faction 3=PEACE
Faction 4=SPARTANS
Faction 5=HIVE
Faction 6=BELIEVE
Faction 7=MORGAN

You may want to keep a backup copy of your current Alpha Centauri.Ini because this will change the colours on other games started from scenarios.

I changed the order so that the European players moved after each other, as do the American players, which should help the game move faster.

Several patrols of grad students have been sent out to explore the immediate vicinity and find any substitutions for the still flaky fibres that are currently used. Well I only just found our game thread!

The Peacekeeper faction would like to announce to all of Planet's Inhabitants the founding of our great new UN Organization on Planet. Our primary goal, as always is to maintain an atmosphere of peace here on Planet, and achieve that which we were not able to on Earth. To do this our primary goal is to collect the comm frequencies of all factions as soon as possible so that council may be convened.
With luck we have already found 2 of these comm frequencies and have began to establish a network of treaties that will cement the friendship of all Planet's inhabitants and unite us aginst our comon enemy - the Mind Worms!

Peacekeepers announce their planetary goal - to unite the whole of planet in one universal pact of brotherhood. Step one of this goal has been acheived and the believers have joined us in our quest for planetary peace.
However, it is with great sadness that I announce the betrayal of our goodwill by the Spartans, despite the fact we offered our knowledge as a gift, they refused to renounce their violent ways and join our mission, and took the knowledge anyway.
