Since we only have bad parties, why don't we set up a new choice for Americans?

Ok here's the new one. You can join it no matter who you are, except that you have to agree with most of the things the party promotes.

What we do:

- Legalize weed NOW. Tax it, but not too expensive, good quality, and there we go.

- No more breaks for businesses to get free money from the state .. that is, the tax payers.

- No Bipolarized action. THis means, if our opponents do something, we don't do the opposite because 'they are wrong'. We do what we think is right, and if our opponents agree, that's great.

- Stop the war on porn. Common sense.

- Away from Saudi Arabia's grab. Now.

- Raise the minimum wage.

- Abolish the PATRIOT ACT now and make another one instead that faces the issues of terrorism and threats more efficiently, yet respecting the constitution and common sense.

- Promote the constitution at all times.

- ANy prisoner in death row or with long sentences can have free DNA test if it shows them not guilty, and give money like reparations to them for the time they spent in there. NOW.

- Spend more money to basic education. New goal, 95% can read and write at least understandably. Education breeds more success and better living conditions, reducing crime and bad decisions, and further helps democracy and freedom.

- Better relations with Europeans and the rest of the world. Start with listening, reasoning, but not taking it up the butt.

- New rule. Presidential candidates must do a talent/skill show .. added to the debates. Dancing, singing, magic show or stand up comedy, what ever, but it must be done. If candidate refuses, then they don't have any talents/skills or are too stuck up to be the president.

- An exam for candidates. If you can't pass the exam, you can't be a candidate. But only simple questions and you can study for it. Questions such as geography (point where country x is located), modern history (who was the previous PM of England, multiple choice question) and an essay part of 'my view of the world' and 'Economy of Asia' and 'the future solutions to the problems in Africa'.
Your opinions don't matter so much, if you can produce text that we can understand and it makes some sort of sense.

- Tax break on healthy food products.

- Responsibility for think tanks. If your job is to pursue certain agendas, you are directly responsible in the situation it actually is taken seriously and something goes wrong. Monitoring think tanks as we do have SELECTED reps already. Monitor possible lobbying between these groups.

- Restrictions in lobbying. Everyones vote and opinion is equally important. Majority rules.

- Tougher sentences to business crimes. Softer sentences in victimless crimes.

- If you get sick, you get a free ice cream of your choice every day, if you want to, and you're under 21.

- Tax break on condoms.

- Every state must have a free concert for everyone in the summer, and can apply for money in advance. Festival of some sort. Breaking the law in festival day carries double penalties and public humiliation. The best costume wins free ice cream/beer for a year.

- Fox News must remove their text fair and balanced NOW. And so should any other news station, if they have similar. Instead they must put 'NEWS ENTERTAINMENT' to replace it, or some other way indicate it.

- Chinese food restaurants are not allowed to also serve Pizza

- We build a giant wall on the Mexican boarder and man it with armed soldiers

- Be nice to Cuba

- All bums must go into psyciatric wards until the kick whatever addiction they have or whatever psycosis they have... this will be paid by;

- No welfare

Some is fun or whatever but you already have one feature of political parties perfected . . . the empty promise.

But overall I could support this party but only if the free ice cream is for EVERYONE-- Don't be an ageist after all

duke, well these were just some of the themes, however, I can't list them all now. ON mice, we have no opinion, you can think what you want. YOu can think what you want anyway, but we are not taking official stand in the mouse issue.

Japher, yes, most of those things would be in the list, however the chinese pizza thing isn't.. how this happens now is we figure out if we need this as our official thing, and if we do, then we could like vote about it next, and if it goes through, we take it on our list as official thing to do.

If by Europe you mean France, than No. BEcause from what I've seen Europe mean France, and I don't like that. If by Europe you mean Italy and Germany, than Ok

Japher, by Europe I mean factually Europe. France is only one country in Europe. We cover in this the better basic education agenda .

I guess that was my way of saying, no, I don't mean we should start licking French monkeys. In general, to be more ready to accept different views and opinions, as well as.. this would go of course to closening relations with other countries as well than just European ones. EUrope as a whole is just more important as of now to the trans-atlantic thing and the importance of it is huge so we need to take care of it too. If the froggies start giving us trouble for it, hey, that's fine. They lick and eat frogs. Do I feel the need to defend myself against that? I don't think so.

Will this new party also propose that Scandinavian countries pay reparation to Northeastern Amerindian tribes for the temporary colonization of Vikings in the 11th century?

This party will ban the word Amerindian!

What are the agendas? Better future. So what's the maker of the future? Our kids. Kids are the future. So we need to make sure, that they have better opportunities and safe environment to grow up. That means, everyone needs the opportunity to get quality education. Everyone needs to be able to play and have fun, and be safe.

That's where the money needs to go. It doesn't need to go to the pockets of fat cats, it doesn't need to go to most stupid places who already have it or can get it somewhere else. It needs to go to the kids adn that's number one priority, and the citizens. That's it.

We don't foam about aborts, we don't talk about gay sex and how it affects our lives, we don't talk about values, because talking about values gets us nowhere, it only devides some folks. Value parties are Dems and Repubs.

We are party of doing what we need to do. Let the fight about who gave BJ to who and who snorted cocaine and what not. We talk and focus on how to get everyone to read, how to promote healthy food, how to do what's right and not get tangled into stupid word wrestling competitions with no importance what so ever.

While others debate - We make a difference. Join us. For better future.

How much PASSION will this new party have? I mean if it doesn't have the violence that goes along with good PASSION, then wouldn't that suck?

MrFun, you really really have short memory, don't you? this might be the third time I request that if you want to talk about passion, create a new thread or take it to the old, already existing thread.

Japher, well.. I don't think it's a matter of edcuation who is queer and who is not. Maybe we could make a study about this to answer this question first, to satisfy your needs?

Because we don't carry stupid values. When someone asks me, well what are your values, I say to them 'the future, your children, and you'. 'What about gay abortion?' 'Many members of our party have different views about it, it's not an issue we feel is something we need to take a stand for, there are other parties who do that, and if you feel this is the most important thing in the world, then there's always those other parties, but we welcome you even if you still want to join. Our values are like I said, better America, for the people of America. And we do feel also, that better world is better for America. This is why we will change God bless America into God bless America AND the rest of the world.'

I suspect that if donations to parties were banned and every party simply got a set amount from central government to run on, most of what Japher mentioned in his first post would be done very quickly.
