To wit, I'll be playing our save, sometime on Friday. It's late, I just did my reboot (to bring up my program to make screenshots, magor pain with system I have) and I'm fading fast.

I also have bigtime RL things to take care of in AM/mid afternoon, so don't count on this until you see my next post, to say that I'm playing it and will send afterwards.

Again, sorry for the delay, but with me being the only one to do this, it sometimes happens.

Well, the RL stuff took longer than I had thought. That and a Muthering Big Thunder Storm had me tied up in traffic for a while (that and no power when I had gotten home - restored short while ago).

I'll be playing the save in a short bit.

Central Florida IS the Lightnimg Capitol of North America. IIRC, the Amazon gets more than we do. We have what's called "Seabreeze Fronts", that develope in the afternoon, as the interior heats up and draws the moisture off the Atlantic & Gulf. This sturs up the atmoshphere and the cloads just stack up really fast. And with the heat of the last few days (with no rain), they can get really nasty when they do hit.

I had to to drive on the wrong side of one road, for 2 blocks, because of the water that was in that part of the road was too deep to go through. Fortunately, no one was coming the other way....

A chance you say They had their chance - all 24 hours of it, and not one word yet again. The admins need to deal with this. Keep the game rolling along. A clear sign needs to be made. All teams agreed that if no notice made, and 24 hours passed, then the admins would play the save. I ask them to do it.

I was going to post this last night, but was not too motivated too, after working 13+ hour days, the last too days.

Fisk you. Babylon has every one else away for a while, from RL, and I have RL commitments, too. All was posted about in one of the Public Threads.

Your team agreed to the rule. Your team also pushed this rule. You need to be open and honest on your schedule. If you know you can not play in the 24 hours, and you are seen online during that time and after, then you should have the common decency of letting us all know, as your team agreed.

How can you say everyone in Babylon is away, when there ar members posting in other places of Apolytn, and also in other threads in this public forum? Maybe you have too many duties and need to allow Sceava or Shogun Gunner to play the turn.

E_T, work responsibilities I do understand, my own hours are like yours, and they keep me away from many of my favourite habits. Because of that I am not in any pbems anymore. Making this game more a time for civ community things. Culd explain why I want to see the save. Also I have my Brigades marching off to war at the moment, and want to get on with it.

Good luck with your time and work. Pad has spent some time with me this morning explaining that you are a good bloke, and that you are quite commited to Apolyton and Civilization. He said you are the master of micro management, and that some of the tables in excell that I use, came from you last year. So to quote Grandpa Troll "Peace Brother"

Yes, yes, so very true. ET is unsurpassed in accurately planning all aspects of his civilisation many turns in advance. He is also expert micromanager and talented builder. I saw some of his analyses in Inter Site Demo Game forum and was overwhelmed, particularly by his spreadsheet, its usefulness and my utter inability to understand it.

I went to sleep, very early last night and got up "late". First good sleep I've had in 2 weeks (I have Insomnia and it's been hitting me really hard the last 2 weeks).

I had tryed to play the save last night, but was falling asleep too much and instead of fighting it, I had gone to bed.

I'll get it out tonight.

3 days and counting.....even if ET gets me the turn now, I'm at work for another 10 hours or so, then it's Friday night and weekends suck for playing turns.

no worries, 1889 will be absent until Sunday. So, make your plans to play the turn until Sunday - this is a time frame of 48 hours

Next time a teams turn time reaches 48 hrs I'll play the turn for them, it's only fair for all concerned.

I remember the early days in this game, when the teams now begging for time objected so seriusly to DR *asking* for a *short* extension to their window. It's one rule for DR, but another rule for Euphorica and Babylon.

when this was debated and agreed to it was 24 hours

OTOH Euphorica had a lot of time to discuss it because the last turn was the slowest one
