  • Active CMN Profiles

Im very angry now while writing this post thus I wont repeat the long text I wrote before Poly's stupid hotkeys ate it.

For short - all people who are CMNing or would like to or at least can provide advice on the matter, please sign in and update time by time (in case say your activity status changes)!

E-mail: (to be posted as name || domain | com)
    IRC:
    AIM:
    MSN:
    ICQ:

    CMNing since:
CMN skill level: [need advice, apprentice, average, master, legendary (Tau Ceti qualifies for sure)]
Status: [active / inactive / available for advice]
Average CMN Rate: [how often per time period you can make a game, say "one per month"]
Notes: [things like "like tweaking AIs", "keen on creating maps", "tendency to suprise players" go here]

Could I ask someone to top this?

-- Keen on tweaking AIs in evil ways
-- Good skills in setting up similar starting positions
-- Tendency to accelerate early game (by terrain/units)
-- Having lotsa ideas on new scenarios/game types, but no time to execute, need help on it.

      CMNing since: 2003
      CMN skill level: master
Status: available for advice, returning to active status in about 2 weeks.
Average CMN Rate (how often per time period you can make a game, say "one per month"): depends on difficulty level of game: for Newbies, can do in less than a week, whereas games for highly skilled players can take up to 2 weeks.
Notes: tweaking AIs, keen on creating maps, tendency to suprise players. I can go on here, but you get the idea....

              Like anyone would doubt that!

Anyways, please note that I will be going on hiatus shortly to work on the C4:AC project.

                What does CMN mean?

The one who makes balanced scenarios for PBEM and other multiplayer games, holds the passwords, ensures fairness in case of doubt of cheating, is a respectable person in overall and does many other things, that simple mortals do not..

                    Actually stands for:

Creator (of the game, passwords, etc)
Moderator (to ensure fairness, no cheating, etc etc and resolve buggy disputes)
Narrator (now largely unused - used to write up a running ten or twenty year history of what was happening among the various factions - to be published at game end)

Darsnan indicated in the demo forum that he is officially retiring as CMN. Are there any active CMN's?

                        Illuminatus,

Can something be done about the preceding poster?

Edit: Subject post of question was removed. Thanks, Illuminatus.
