    3 more nukes this turn, last turn we built 3 but did not use them becaue the only target we could hit was Dissidentville and that's the target we DON'T want to hit yet.

    Bad news, war weariness has finally reared its ugly head and all of our cities which were on WLTKD are not anymore. Still, no need to use the slider yet since only 2 cities could potentially riot (Trafalgar and Dreadnaughtica). I will be checking the F1 screen constantly to keep everything in order.

    Invasion plans

    GS has disbanded Dissidentville, our planned invasion city. We need an alternative landing site. I have made this map with the possible sites. All sites north of the yellow line are those we can land in 1360 AD (X-Day). All sites south can only be hit the turn after.

    Personally I don't want this invasion to be postponed but I think the site NW-NW-NW of Tempest is the best as it allows us to hit Arashi the turn after. Note that GS is doing a full scorched earth policy which means it is highly unlikely the invasion will be a speedy business.

    Also note that it will be impossible to take a city on the invasion turn. We'll have to land in the open, fortunately the terrain and lack of roads/RRs means that GS cannot counterattack.

    I am open to suggestions, in the meantime the save is postponed

    What is the plan ?

    We could just build a city at that site.
    Transport nukes in and just keep bombing ?

    I dont have the save to really look at the map...but I am happy to go with your plan.
    It will also mean they will have to cut all of their lux.

    Is ND landing any troops ?

    Yeah, can we bomb the RR tile just W of Arashi then build a City on one of the three tiles along the coast? Nuke the crap out of them from there; to hell with a large invasion.

    We HAD a plan which was to land at Dissidentville. However, if we land there 1) we'll be in a tile which offers no defensive bonuses and 2) we'd be at the mercy of a GS 45 tank + 55 M.I. counterattack. Not pretty.

    The tile I suggested will leave us able to hit Arashi, and has defensive bonus (it's a hill), plus, since there's no transport means that GS can't attack it.

    And yes, ND is planning to land once they clear the southern seas of the GS navy (a tough call)

    Actually, if we bomb the RR like I said, GS counterstrike wouldn't be able to hit any of the three tiles I indicated (unless they are able to build a road in one turn with that lone worker on the tile Arashi. What is that tile anyway? A hill or a grass?

    I think MZ's landing spot is fine.
    But bring in a settler, transport some nukes and just bomb them to hell.
    If it's a slow invasion...then so be it.

    Its a safe bet we are going to get nuked. MZ, see if you can offer SF to GS in a peace deal. If we can, then in the next couple of turns we are going to get hit by a nuke. Spead our forces around. Bomb the sh!t out of the land around the uranium two tiles peed in all directions (use nukes to supplement bombing raids).

    Regarding MZ landing proposal, that site (NW-NW-NW of Tempest) is W-W of Arashi, and WILL get attacked by GS. Landing on the Hill N of MZ proposal will NOT get attacked (if we nuke the tile NW of Arashi).

    Actually, looking at the pic, if we have 2 nukes, actually hitting the Uranium source and then the Hill inbetween Tempest and Arashi will accomplish the goals of killing those bastard workers and clearing the nessicary tiles of improvements.

    Regarding my proposed landing site, we would bomb the RRs to it to prevent a GS counterattack. Despite this we can still capture Arashi since it's only 1 tile away.

    You mean you are going to nuke the Mountian to the NE of Arashi? The one inbetween the city and the uranium? You do realize that if you do this, we will need to use something to kill two more GS workers that they will put there from the exsiting Rail network.

    What is the turn sequence ?

    If they have tanks in Arashi..
    We nuke them to 1 hp right ? I dont know how this works.
    But the Arashi barracks survive.
    Then their units may become fully healed again ?
    Thus allowing them to attack


    Do they even have space flight yet ? Or aluminium ?

    Is it possible to be building a uranium unit (submarine) and then switch it to a tactical nuke..even if their source is knocked out ?

    It is based on a percentage. they loose about 50% of their units, and the ones that survive are damaged.
    But the Arashi barracks survive.
    Then their units may become fully healed again ?

    The next turn, yes, just like normal. That is IF the barracks survives (I belive that they loose 50% of their improvements as well). These numbers change if the city is not actually directly hit, but I am not sure how.

    No. In order to switch to a nuke, they need to have uranium hooked up, regardless of what they were building.

    Good questions... that I don't really know the answer to. :S

    We can nuke the mountain tile or we can nuke the uranium tile directly. The mountain tile means that we'd hit/kill units in Arashi. The uranium tile means GS could not send a unit there in 2 turns.

    GS does not have Space Flight as of this turn. It is unlikely they are even near it. Plus, IIRC you need both Uranium AND Aluminum to build Tac Nukes, and ND nuked the Aluminum tile.

    Also, nuking the arashi tile on a turnly-basis is not a problem for us. We have 5 nukes this turn and will have 5 more next turn. That's more nukes than actual likely targets.

    Hmmm... you are correct about the TAC needing both resources. The Uranium is not a priority if ND just nuked the aluminum this turn or last.

    Still, if we land on, lets call it The sent of War Hill, we would be vulnerable to that ugly counter attack via the Rails near Orangesoda. If we hit that city with a nuke, we leave some infastructure but would still cut GS off from a counter attack.
