P.s. The FP is very close to the capital - in Rusicidae. It was started by Paddy II and completed by Modo II, to help our infrastructure build up. It was built the hard way, because we had only one MGL at that time and he was already leading an army. His name: Helmicar.

I know what you mean. It took me a lot longer to play than I expected. Eventually I just put all the workers on auto and let them go at it.

After the main rail is done and the underlying terrain is about good (irrigation versus mines is an issue for cities near 12 population), I do the same. Just press SHIFT+a, so that the workers don't change anything, but only build rails. An they find pollution by themselves, so none is missed.

Looks like 20 turn is way too long this late in the game. Oh well, better luck next time.

1335 AD The throne was taken by the ambitious McMeadows III. Decendant from a familly of builders. However his plans were almost written in blood. Not that he didn't have the intention to boost the Carthagean economy and bring even more properity to its people. But he also was determined to relive the times of the ferocious and brave Modo II who invaded the "New World" he had read so much abou in college.

First on his list was meeting with the leaders of the foreign tribes. He did some trading with some and suprisingly accepted some ivory + 3 gold for engineering, music theory, astronomy & banking with Lizzy from England. The acquired luxury allowed him to abandon the happiness taxes. For the former Mayancities he was less kind. He squeezed every cent out of them installing numerous taxmen in those cities. He became reknowned for doing so in all conquered cities.

1345 AD The wise men of Carthage propsed the concept of Corporation. A research grant went out to find means for curing sick people. Smith Trading Centre was finished in Germanicum.

1355 AD Byzantines signed an alliance with Portugal against us.

1360 AD Our troops conquered Guimaeres (Knights Templar). The Mayans traded their knowledge on democracy for military tradition & magnetism. The Mongols were given theory of gravity for an alliance vs the Byzantines & spices. The Iroquois gave us 3 gpt + 38 gold & worldmap to teach them on democracy. The Portugese city of Evora was razed and Palenque-at-Sea was founded.

1365 AD An addition to the palace was granted. Our troops captured St. Regis from the Portugese.

1370 AD The Byzantine capital of Constantinople was razed.

1375 AD The Portugese capital of Lisbon including the Colossus and the Great Wall. Adrianople was razed and Aquasilk founded.

1380 AD Magellan's Voyage was completed in New York & Universal Suffrage in Theveste. Leiria was razed.

1385 AD Discovered sanitation, started on scientific method. Our troops razed Oporto.

1390 AD Emerita was razed. The Mogols beat us to JS Bach by 2 turns. As no horses and salpeter was available to the Portuguese anymore, peace was negotiated @ 210 gold + 20 gpt. Free artistry was aquired from the Mayans in return of knowledge over the theory of gravity. There was no sight of any Byzantine cities anymore, therefore peace @ 20 gold + 9 gpt. Shakespeare's Theatre was started @ a loss of 54 shields in Carthage. Founded Modopolis, Portugese Anoyance & Benfica.

1395 AD Completed Shakespears Theatre in Carthage.

1400 AD founded Fillagap.

1405 AD War erupted with the Mongols as we refused to leave Mongolian territory. Gamis Cubicus IV (in the turn of the Mongols) & Paddae Scottia IV stood up from the ranks. Ta-tu, Kazan, Varna & Ulaanbaatar were razed. Mago inspired the people of Niagara Falls to build the Iron Works in 1 turn. Our wise men discovered Scientific Method and started on Steel.

1410 AD The inspired people of Niagara Falls are to build the Battle Field Medicine in 1 turn as well.

1415 AD News reached us that the Byzantines have been destroyed by the Portugese. Mo Doicis IV stood up from our ranks. In war time hero's step forward.... Caesarea razed and Karakorum including ToA and JS Bach conquered. Himilco inspired the people of Niagara Falls to build Wallstreet in 1 turn. What an inspirational place...

1420 AD Tabriz razed.

1430 AD Razed another Mongolian city and abandoned Antonius.

1435 AD Beta Maximus IV stood up from our ranks. Almarikh, Mauch Chunk & Smyrna were razed, Dinnerisready was founded.

1440 AD Heraclea & Tonawanadu razed. No Mongolian cities were left on the continent and therefore peace was negotiated with the Mongols @ 32 gold.

This is where all the goals of King McMeadows III were reached and he decided to leave for his retirement on a little island. The nation is 3 turns from completing ToE in Leipzig and 1 turn from researching refinery. The deal with the English on ivory has ended.

Remember, we were talking about a game on a huge map, playing Japan... Are you guys still interested, or are the games started by Snoopy enough for now? I was thinking about a huge pangea, with us starting in the middle of it.

After Refining, I swiched off research, as it wouldn't be needed anyway.

Barbarians were exterminated. To make it a bit more interesting, we counted the Portugese to the barbarians. Extermination followed shortly. Sadly, they made a Settler on a Galleon, so we didn't completely eradicate them.

Alright, this was short. After playing two turns (planting 1 city, and rushing Temples that didn't even matter), I hit [Enter], to see the picture below.
