    New player question

    Hi
I know the game and the small and large pox but dose anyone play like the old civ2? in the sence that you build your empire then go to war when you can build large armys?

Isn't that that the purpose of the game?

Or do you mean in the sense that's how we used to play and experience Civ? Before we even realized how you could play the system? If you you refrain from using the small/largepox (also known as ICS) playing method and use onconventional rules/settings you could, perhaps.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
