Done, and I've gotten the save from you, and mailed it out.
... So since this AU course is for people new/newer to MP, I've got to ask, What's a turn thread for?
Kevin
This is the turn thread for snoopy369 and Kwpulliam for the AU 601 multiplayer PBEM.
We're playing a monarch modded game. I'm the first player, and KWPulliam is the second. (We'll tell you who we really are after everyone has started, since otherwise it could cause ppl to be more or less likely to be willing to be player 1.)

Turn thread serves two main purposes. One is to tell each other that we've sent the turn -- invaluable in the event that a turn is lost somehow (like it's thought to be sent but was forgotten, or misaddressed, or hotmail ate it ...)
The other is to communicate in 'public' certain kinds of information. For example, a lot of games have a requirement to send a "combat report" in this manner -- telling everyone what combat occurred on your turn.
This is because civ3 doesn't show you the combat except if you're the last player and it's barbarians -- otherwise you just know what you attacked, and it's a nasty surprise to come back next turn and find a city razed or something and not know who did it. Also, some MP games require *any* communication to be through this thread, and no private communication at all. (That's rare.) Also a good forum for role playing (check out the Naval PBEM thread I started, we can get pretty violent in there though)....
Basically just post that you sent the turn to me, and then if anything that I need to know that's not private information (ie negotiations).
Most games play under the agreement that private discussions must be limited to what you could theoretically already do in the game -- ie no discussions at all until contact, no map related discussions until map making and no specific directions until map trading is possible (navigation), no military discussions without an embassy, etc. It doesn't matter a whole lot in this game, since there's only the 2 human players.

I presume we're competing under the "no attacking AI cities" rule, yes?

Yeah, No attacking AI cities. I'm open to one time exceptions of that rule if need be, so let me know if you're in a situation where it matters.

eh, i'd rather play by the hard and fast rule, unless i'm going to be eliminated or something, in which case i'd think i would have plenty of opportunities to attack my own created cities...

sorry ... stat (if i remember the subject right) can suck quite a bit. I had a pretty easy stat class, but that's because I took the easier of the two that I could have taken, and had already taken game theory and the whole economics quartet of classes (which all meant that i was just taking a stat review by the time i took the class
) and I still only got a B.
