Congradulations for the job well done on almost all fronts.

Few questions.
Why is the destroyer sleeping. It's the finest ship in the fleet, the crews could at least be escorting, or sinking Egyptian transports.
Why is Jewish Nicosia building a training camp?

More importantly, the three main drives. I like the idea of attacking, but I'm not sure if we have enough units to attack everywhere.

1. Egyptian coastal road: I think Rasputin can get far. He needs some "garrison" troops, and since he's plowing towards Egypt, some air defense that can keep come up with him, or that will shortly follow. It needs to be more than just the T-34's, though those will be a mighty punch.

Give me an endpoint for the offensive, I don't want this going to Cairo, yet.....

2. Hebron Advance: I think Yaro should take Hebron, and perhaps Beersheba. I'm not sure how fast he can advance, the artillery is slow, and we've noticed at least some Egyptian tanks here.
The ultimate goal should be Eilat, but I'm not sure if that can be reached without more mobile units.

3. I like Htower's advance more, since we need to kill the Palestinian pocket.

But for all these, keep in mind the Golan. We may wish to purchase another tank to send up there if the situation worsens.

because I only siezed command of the transport, I left the destroyer for whoever has the proper command of it

I didn't realize he was planning on doing that as well, I thought the Pals would be left to you.

If he wants to go to Ramallah (or is ordered to do so), and hence we pressure the Palestinians from the north and the south, then he should stop the southern advance after the fall of Hebron, because he does not have enough troops to do both.

I think attacking the Palestinian pocket from two sides would be more fruitful than reclaiming parts of the Negev. (No offense intended towards our brave settlers down there ). Their are only two reasons to go back to the Negev.
1. Secure Eilat, which has trade value, and is a useful port for immigration. This would require a major effort on our part.
2. Guard Rasputin's flanks as he attacks on the coast. This depends on how far Rasputin chooses to advance, but I'm not sure Yaro even on the flank could keep up with the advance, since he has no tanks.

I think Hebron is still worthwile, but I'm not sure if you should go south of there. Also, your troops need to rest.

I won't be able to reach Elilat with a strong tank group, and it'll be best used by Rasputin and Mikko.

If I have to take the entire pocket on by myself, I'm going to need a few zion workers because otherwise my forces are going to be strung out along a LONG road and new troops will take forever to get to the front. Also, if I decide to strike from the south, as well as from the north, I'll need more than double the troops I currently have available for attack. Ooh, I like the sound of that, double the number of troops under my command

Damnest, I had no idea we had a destroyer There must be a bureaucratic error here, I never remember comissioning it even Con, sink us some Arab freighters when immigration turn comes around.

I would like to push as far as El Arish, so we will probably need to find 3 machine guns and 3 AA over the next four/five months. I'd like to push to El Arish, wait up on Yaros while he performs mop up operations to the north and east of the road, perhaps from El Arish we can strike out and liberate Tekuma and Beersheba.

Agreed. For the moment, he will have to make do with artillery, zion workers and such. I'd like to see him take Hebron soon and Ramallah, which are fairly close, until I can get him tanks to strike out against Bersheeba. He has enough artillery for two columns I should think, and with intelligent use of kibbutznicks, zion workers and the few defense units he has, I am sure that he can perform both tasks.

Eilat, my friend, is still a long way away.

The Palestinian pocket will be taken from the north and south, we have enough artillery to do that, and enough defensive units to provide for some advances at the moment, and we'll just have to rush a few infantry now.

But I would really really like to push against El Arish, and see Hebron, Ramallah and Jenin falling within the next four/five months.

All of this, of course, provided that we continue to hold in the north, which has weakened considerably in Kafer Szold.

The "sleeping" destroyer is "sleeping" on top of a transport or it was before *cough, cough* someone moved the transport.

The destroyer was doing escort duty on the immigrants amd the gun boat was running point as I noted IN LAST MONTHS REPORT
