Thanks to the glory that is Rhapsody, I'm listening to some Megadeth (Symphony of Destruction) after that on the lineup is 'Paint it Black' by the Stones.

I'm also toying with the thought of popping in my CD of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's rendition of 'Beethoven's Last Night.'

    @ Monolith. Show tunes.

Enough Cream. Time for some "Pearl" by Janis Joplin.

Janis Joplin's great. I used to love Cream, but after a while they just feel so tired. Their music just isn't that fun, you know?

Disraeli Gears is all I have of them.
It's on the Essential Classic Rock list. So is Pearl.
So is Pet Sounds, by the Beach Boys, which will be next.

By gawd, I'm going to plan SOMETHING.

Rise, the theme from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig.

I own pet sounds and big brother & holding company.

Personally, I prefer some of the more obscure 60s rock, like the small faces and the left banke.

Well, right now I'm listening to the sound of dial tones and telephones ringing, but the music I've been listening to lately includes:

Songs: Ohia, "Magnolia Electric Co.". Bluesy-rock with an edgy side, very similar to Neil Young.

Jupiter Sunrise, "Under a Killer Blue Sky". Power-pop with a punk influence, in the same vein as Jimmy Eat World and Weezer, but with smarter lyrics.

New Deal, EP. If you like either jambands or techno, check these guys out. They're a live band that does some trancy-sounding stuff, but without the repetitive cheese.

Franz Ferdinand. Check 'em out if you like bands like the Strokes, White Stripes, etc., at all.
