Welcome to official Gaian Headquarters for the next ACDG! We are currently leading in poll, and even if things change, we can be sure that Gaians shall be one of factions involved in the next ACDG.

For the time being this will place to lobby more for Gaian presence in next ACDG, and hopefully this thread will also serve for sign up. If you are interested in being a member of Gaians, just post here. Also, all things related to Gaians shall be conducted and decided here as well, until we get our own private forum (which I hope to moderate )


The rest of this thread shall be dedicated to teachings of our faction.

Planet's atmosphere, though a gasping death to humans and most animals,
is paradise for Earth plants. The high nitrate content of the soil and
the rich yellow sunlight bring an abundant harvest wherever
adjustments can be made for the unusual soil conditions.

The Isle of the Deep is really not a single creature but a colony
of thousands of individual tubules, an aquatic vector of the Mind Worm
which terrorizes Planet's continents. Over its lifetime certain tubules
secrete a tough, gluelike substance which hardens to form the
characteristic shell that floats the colony and creates the appearance
of a rogue island.

Thus, all our efforts to return carbon to the biosphere will encourage
the native life to proliferate. Conversely, the huge quantities
of nitrate in the soil will be heaven to human farmers.

the time of the Lower Paleozoic on Earth. But when, once every
hundred million years or so, the neural net at last achieves the
critical mass necessary to become sentient, the final metamorphosis

we humans can help to break this tragic cycle.

As we approached we were confronted by the ruined splendor of
Sparta Command. The true immensity of the place became instantly
apparent as our Quantum Tank crunched over the rubble and parked next
to a shattered bunker, but the extent of the destruction

massive breaches and smoke still billowed from the numerous cannon

Having now established a secure perimeter, we have made ourselves
relatively safe from enemy incursions. But against the seemingly
random attacks by Planet's native life only our array of warning
sensors can help us, for the Mind Worms infiltrate through every crevice
and chew through anything softer than plasmasteel.

Although Planet's native life is based, like Earth's, on right-handed
DNA, and codes for all the same amino acids, the inevitable chemical
and structural differences from a billion years of evolution in an
alien environment render the native plant life highly poisonous
to humans. Juicy, ripe grenade fruits may look appealing, but a
mouthful of organonitrates will certainly change your mind in a hurry.

In the great commons at Gaia's Landing we have a tall and particularly
beautiful stand of white pine, planted at the time of the first
colonies. It represents our promise to the people, and to Planet
itself, never to repeat the tragedy of Earth.

Outside, they are competitors, struggling over the trace
elements required for life. Often, one destroys the other. Here,
they are tended with care and kept well nourished. They thrive

defenses. As you can see, competition is unnecessary when resources
are plentiful and population growth is controlled.

networks of glass framed in grids of metal, and the sunlight
shining through jungles of vegetation inside. When one of them
catches the light, you can see the refracted beauty for miles;

In other news we have to say that Gaian women are not whores. Despite promiscuity of some of them, they are not charging they services. Running naked through trees is still allowed in Gaian Planetary Confederation.

Announcement: Because most of players, especially more experienced ones, have decided to ignore Gaians, this faction is most likely to be dissolved in next 48 hours because we won`t stand a chance, three of us newbies . Even our begining members are already planning to defect, and we have no better players or even Roleplayers. Maybe this is product of some intolerance or envy, maybe this is coincedence. Seems that we will have a three faction DG after all, and mostly likely I am going to look where to defect. Laurentius is the only one optimist, but with other teams formed and our falling apart I see no other choice. (I am sorry Lauri, but it is obvious this has failed ).

Don't be so pessimistic obstructor. Gaians is a great faction to play. And the polls have just barely started. I can count many experienced players who has not even showed up. And many of us haven't made up our minds yet.

All have already stated their preferences. Morgans and Spartans are already fully formed, while we . I wonder who voted so much for us. I certainly won`t participate if there are only two newbies, besides me, in team.

Well, if it is decided that it must be a three team game and if the DA team is out, then I will join you too provided you edit out the stuff about whores of course. And of course small is good. Each person can then be as responsible as he/she would like, without the need of frequent coups and trials and such.

I agree with you that the Morgans and the Spartans are all set. But again there are more good players out there who haven't signed up yet. It all depends on your way of recruitment.

Angels have Herc, wuth Unortodox, Tass and geo likely to join. We have me, Laur and Ouro, mostly unexperienced. Even you admit we are second choice faction. Polls are showing that we are leading "second choice faction".

Everyone wants Gaians in game, but no one wants to be. I fear this is a closed matter.

Right now it doesn't seem that the DA team is anywhere close to be too big though. Hercules started the thread, but has been silent since, I'm not even sure if he voted for DA in the single option poll. tass and UnO may or may not join. So you see, you are not in any worse position at all.

I'm only trying to say don't stop your effor so soon. The polls have at least 6 more days to go.

As far as I can tell the Morganite faction has 3 members, which I would say is entirely insufficient to play. But hang in there Gaia! Not everyone has signed up yet, and there's a large number of people sitting on the fence (mostly just waiting to be swayed by the overly large credit )

More spam will help raise your profile though!
