  • Expeditions into the Unknown

I would like to see two expeditions started.

Each would be with a unit on board a galley.

They would head out into the great unknown and see who we can meet and what is really out there... At this time we have safe water to travel in, along the Southern Ice caps.

I have started this thread in the hopes that we could discuss this idea...

Its a must really, if you want to find more potential trading partners

If my virtual VIking self isn't busy, I volunteer her to go ^^

Are you thinking one in each direction along the cap?

(and in a normal game, are you able to sail safely along the cap like that? )

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

On a normal map, there isn't usually a line of coast tiles along the icecaps... but who knows what the map-makers have done for us. (But they most likely wouldn't be that kind to us! )

Yes you are correct, and it could be an enormous waste of time and effort... so to the rewards could be enormous

no need to send a unit on the ship unless we hoping to find some huts out there. looknig at map there might be some i guess, but i think tha t most of the world will b efull by now, and the only way t oattain is to conquer..

if the civs we know now arent trading with us , prob nopt likely to ge tmuch from other civs...

so i think jsut send a galley and as it enters the territory of new civs it can negottiat ewith them

Ahh the wisdom of Senator Rasputin

Thank you, that is good value.

So to follow that idea, the next galley should be the 'Makahlua Flyer' our great adventurer to the great unknown.
