Ah, Ghengis Farb now added with his Mafia-run brothel, Jessica Rabbit, a rivalry with ADG, assassinations, Tuberski the forgetful knifeman, and the "greatest detective whos name ends with TKO" ! YAY! 'poly town is really coming alive.

Need : Storekeepers, bar guests, policemen, cleaners, citizens etc. And I need LOTS of them. These characters will get either one-liners, short chats or small in-town quests depending how lazy I am.

Matt, you're already in actually. You are the initiator of the MAFIA vs the LAW quest. Your Miss Marple put the idea in my head.

I'll add you as a beta tester, great. Only the first expansion will be needed (shadows of...) and it only uses textures and sounds from the original, so SMALL DOWNLOAD!

Beta around Xmas-New Year sound good?

Noober kept talking to you saying a lot of useless stuff, the pop up dialog appeared regardless of what you where doing IIRC

, I always ran very quickly whenever I saw him...

Noober would keep saying stuff like :

"Are you an adventurer?"
"I want to be an adenturerer too"
"You've got a lot of swords there"

at 3 second intervals, so you were always clicking "end conversation" untill you could run away from him ... of course he FOLLOWED the party... he was a PAIN.

You can mould Town Apolyton after Ankh-Morpork, which means you can toss in loads of colourful characters.

Provost Harrison, local alchmist (he can run the shop)
Doctor Strangelove, local healer
Lincoln, good-natured fundie (like that Brother something from Ankh-Morpork)
Spiffor, somebody like Captain Carrot of the Watch
I could imagine Slowwhand to be somebody like Sergeant Colon
Ming, Granny Weatherwax
rah, Nanny Ogg
TCO, local angry dwarven shop owner

Some of these are good ideas... but some people (Ming, Rah) have bigger roles to play... you'll have to trust me on this one... BUT KITTENS ARE IN DANGER!

Problems today : balance issues galore ! Mattyboy is selling really good stuff too cheap, AH and his DLs are REALLY REALLY FRICKING TOUGH! Improved Tass is completely lethal. DrSpike is too weak. DrSpike's orcs are too tough. Trip, Drogue and Aaglo are naked. MtG is invisible. Area 24 is too nice. Area 24 is also too hard to find. The drunkards in Skanky's Bar & Grill are too annoying. Urban Ranger's beer is too cheap. His longbow is too good. etc.

You were... untill I put in all the items people suggested. With Emperor Armour and the Axe of Thread Locking you die pretty fast. So I made "improved Tass" and now I'm making "improved DrSpike".

Heh, first you were too tough, then you were too weak... the alternative is to double or triple the cost of the gear in the 'poly Town shops.

Emperor Armour looks REALLY FRICKING cool btw

All purple and gold with spiked shoulderpads and big boots.

Settler Armour looks like you live in a toilet. That is currently in use.

There's also three new commie zombie variants :

Improved commie zombies (the AI is more "alert")
Armoured commie zombies (like the name says)
Commie Zombie Archers (fire arrows, surprisingly)

They correspond with the DrSpike Clan Elite Orks, ... archers and guards (with big halberds

)

Or it could be like the Friendly Arm Inn from BG, whereby the patron and bartender is also the most powerful guy in the place, hence I could be the wizard, and could conjure up a bouncer
