Hi there. Each time I enter a new city with the apoly pack I get the what are you gonna do message. Once earlier in game I chose "bloodbath" and POOF went the city. Um did I get ANYTHING out of this act besides what appears to be a horrible hit in regard? What is the purpose of this in game and HOW bad is it. Would you do it often and why?

Bloodbath destroys the city completely (raze in Civ3). I think you get some pw/gold bonus, but not sure. Other than that it's purpose is so you can conquer civs while staying under the city threshold.
I would suggest only using it if you want the world to DOW you.
