23,000 Entries for open beta CTP sign-up. Activision releases Civ2 for the Playstation. Apolyton interviews Brian Reynolds. SMAC, CTP1, CIV2:MGE/Mac Released. CTP's Lead Designer writes for Apolyton. Civ3 announced. Apolyton runs the "Power Up!" contest. Sven adds the 200th file of our Civ2 Database. CivLeague, Civilization Scenario Collection, HAC, Spanish Civ2 site hosted on Apolyton.
- YEAR #2: JUL-DEC 1999
CTP #16 in sales for first half of 1999. Civ2: Test of Time released, Apolyton does TOT contest. 2nd SDC. Apolyton Pack for CTP1, SMAC-X demo, CTP for linux demo, 2nd Clash demo released. Firaxis closes forums. Apolyton passes 10mil hits mark. Firaxis' starts site on Dinosaurs
- YEAR #2: JAN-JUL 2000
CTP for Mac, CTP for BeOS demo, SMAC for Mac released. Brian Reynolds leaves Firaxis. CTP2 announced. SMAC Planetary Pack released. More people leave Firaxis, form Big Huge Games. Sid Meier sends out message to civers through Apolyton. Essiential Civ3 list send to Firaxis. SMAC-X for mac, Vel's SMAC-X guide v3 released. FreeCiv ported to windows.
- YEAR #3: AUG-DEC 2000
MedMod 4 released. Civ2 Database upgraded, first chart. Apolytoners build house. Infogrames buys Hasbro Interactive(Microprose, etc). CTP2 released. Apolyton posts articles from CTP2 dev. team members, shows first ever images of Civ3
- YEAR #3: JAN-JUL 2001
SDC3 complete. Activision kills CTP series. Sid kills Dinosaurs. Apolyton gives birth to CTP2 file database, does Centauri Dawn contest, opens forums for Europa Universalis, Trade Wars and Earth 2025. SimGolf announced. Med Pack II, Apolyton Pack for CtP2, SMAC Planetary Pack for Linux released.

Apolyton opens store. Firaxis opens civ3.com. Loki closes down. 2nd SMAC book "Dragon Sun", Vel's SMAC-X guide published. Apolyton interviews Sid Meier. Civ3 released, Apolyton is in it. Clash demo 6

SimGolf released. Twilight Of The Mind published. MoO3 goes through cuts, layoffs and delays' announcements. Apolyton starts MoO3,RoN sections. Australians get early version of MoO3. Apolyton moves to it's own server. Civ3 sells 1 million copies. Apolyton interviews Jeff Briggs. Firaxis starts beta program for Civ3.
