NEW COO FOR FIRAXIS
(4 April 2002, 06:32 | Misc) Firaxis Games announced last Thursday the hiring of industry veteran Steve Martin as chief operating officer. Martin comes to Firaxis from Absolute Quality, a software testing and technical support interaction center, where as co-founder and chief financial & administrative officer he built AQI into a $10 million business, averaging greater than 100 percent growth each year.
Prior to that, Martin was the controller for MicroProse Software, a $60 million entertainment software developer in Hunt Valley, Maryland. As chief operating officer at Firaxis, Martin is responsible for the overall business operations of the company and reports to Firaxis’ board of directors.
