ACT. POSTPONES STOCK OFFERING
(1 October 2001, 17:40 | Misc) Video game maker Activision said [last] Thursday it decided to postpone a planned public offering of six million shares of common stock because of the current weak market conditions.
"We remain confident about the outlook for our business and the prospects for the interactive entertainment software industry generally", Activision Chief Executive Robert Kotick said in a statement.
He also noted that even without proceeds from the planned offering, Activision has a strong financial position, including $288 million in shareholder equity, $106 million in cash, and $5 million in debt.
